those dead body were affected by that toad-genjutsu..and jiraya said that the toad-genjutsu affect the mind, nerve and body all at once..those dead body doesn't have a mind and nerve..all they got is body..how the hell does that genjutsu effect them then..that's why i assume it actually affect nagato himself..but because he's not there..he didn't get impale with a sword..after it's all over..the other 3 body came..and Tsuki works on whoever looks into the eyes..nagato sees whatever those dead body sees..so..i assume it would affect him..nagato chakra is connected to those body too..

so tell me..why do u assume that it wouldn't work??

Sigh. Nagato wasnt shown in any way to be affected by Jiraiyas genjustsu. That is entirely baseless. The Pain bodies were physically fully functional bodies all that they lacked was their own psyche or consciousness. Hence their physical senses were operating. Even Jiaraiya said that the jutsu parlayzed the nerves in their body which means that said nerves must have been functioning before hand. The sound waves from jiraiyas genjutsu had to enter the physical ears of the pain bodies for it to work as shown here.

IT obviously didnt enter nagatos physical ears since he wasnt even present at the battle so therefore there is absolutely nothin indicating that he was affected.

a dead body with black rod piercing all over it that is fully functional like a normal one..yeah rite 😐

that is just a form of chakra or sound that enter the ears..if it sound..nagato can hear it..mean it can affect him..if it's chakra..nagato chakra is connected to the body..means it can affect him..

now i dont really have proof for my next statement, just an assumption... that in mind ill speak.
Rinnegan has been declared the strongest of great eyes, so i believe tsukuyomi first off could be fought off from the rinnegan and secondly, if not, pain could disconnect his control from the affected body.

Amaterasu i believe could be warded away by a shinra tensei given that they both stem from their kekke genki and that rinnegan is stated to be stronger.

Susuno would be the main problem for pain in my opinion... Pain would be forced to run from itachi unless Nagato is allowed to use his own abilities... namely the summon that extracts the souls from anything it touches, perhaps chibaku tensei would successfully counter this as well considering it could crush itachis body against his own spirit weapons or bansho tenen could pull his weapons away from itachi

so pain wins imo

Edit: oh i consider kakashi a near nonfactor in this fight...

Also I see no reason why Shinra Tensei could not deflect susanoo like it did those Giant Frogs, it's omni-directional so it couldn't be shielded. And yeah, Chibaku could seal Itachi in Susanoo mode.

Pain beat Jiraiya because he didn't know Pain technique..if Jiraiya knows it..he would have beaten Pain..i think Jiraiya can beat Pain , Itachi or Kisame one on one..

nagato stomps.

- iirc genjutsu doesn't work too well on him, and ninjutsu would get absorbed by fat pein.

- and speaking of fat pein, he's absorb amatarasu and quite possibly karui (spelling), animal path can summon him to block if he can't repel stuff with the gravity thing.

- his offense with only his gravity power is unavoidable

- and naraka path can reincarnate downed paths, most likely even deva path. that means he can almost never run out of troops.

- and most importantly, nobody knows about nagato's location or the fact that he even controls pein like puppets. the best the team can do is stalemate.

Even if they DID find Nagato's location I don't think either of them could resist his chakra taking over their bodies.

point on the itachi running from jiraiya... Kisame did comment after asking why it was necessary for itachi to run... itachi seemed to run for more of Kisame's sake much like him not waiting Kisame to fight kakashi

nah, itachi never wanted to cause a war with the leaf since it would impact sasuke whom he was taking care of from a distance. plus he has that pact with the 3rd.

he also knew that at his level, kisame would destroy sasuke since only itachi would show restraint towards him. he even wasted his remaining chackra drawing out orochimaru solely for removing him from sasuke.

Itachi killed Nagato who was a stronger version of all the Pain's combined with one attack. Itachi solos while shaking his head in disappointment as Kakashi shits his pants knowing he's next.

Itachi is a great strategist, he also knows how pains abilities work. The myteriousness of peins powers are his greatest strength but alo his weakness. Naruto was able to defeat him because he was informed of his powers and created strategies against them. We all know that both Itachi and kakashi are leagues smarter than naruto so the two of them could create a fool proof strategy to defeat Pain. Also itachi has abitites that are undodgeble by pains standards. Pein isnt fast enough to outrun amaterasu or susanno. Izanami is unavoidable. Susanoo is ridicously powerful and defensely worthy to defend against attatcks. This along with kakashis extremely large repetoire or jutsus including kamui. could prove more than a match for the 6 paths
