Its he tries harder until you prove that this psychic is above Starkiller. He tries harder because it obviously won't be as easy to affect Cole as it would to affect someone with no known mental defense.
That is an example of Telekinesis instead of telepathy and even so Starkiller has better TK feats. Destroyer is greater than bus. What has she done to someone's mind instead of failing to stop/affect Cole.

Precog tells him its coming and he jumps, or chucks the saber in Alex's throat.
Considering how high Starkiller was shown to jump, and how high the spikes erupted from the ground, he would get skewered. And as much damage as Alex is shown taking, I doubt a saber in the throat would down him. And precog doesn't work that way. If it did, every single force power would be able to be dodged or guarded against.

Alex's powers aren't equal to nor composed of the same thing that makes force powers.
Has Alex been shown to take damage from something that equals a lightsaber? Explosive damage does not equal the properties/damage of a lightsaber. Whats stopping Starkiller from jumping above him or on top of him unless has been shown to be immune to his own powers.
Considering force users are in connection with the Force, they should be able to sense their opponent opening up to the Force, and molding it for an attack. You're saying that when Alex initiates the attack, Starkillers precog will say, he's going to make huge 30 foot tall spikes erupt from the ground, somehow jump high enough to evade them.
And Alex takes getting shot with multiple assault rifles with no problems. If the saber does cause him damage, he can heal. And what's to say that the saber can pierce through his armored form?

Are you really comparing bullets to a lightsaber? Lightsabers can cut through practically anything, and they've been shown cutting through many things, what has bullets done that makes them equal to a lightsaber?
And lightsabers also can't cut through some things, there's a bug/parasite called an Orbalisk, those things that attached to Darth Bane? They can't be cut with a saber, the amphistaffs and armor of the Vong are extremely resistant to sabers, so are several metals, including phrik, cortosis, etc... What's to say Alex's armored form isn't resistant, or totally immune to the lightsaber?

As to their defense, Alex can heal like a bastard, and Cole is capable of healing himself sucking the electricity of anything nearby.

Because of current technology is in no way near Star Wars technology.

Yeah as in he would have to try harder to affect Cole than he would Alex.
Alex has no known mental defense so he easily gets held by TK or mind raped.
IIRC a lightsaber isn't powered by electricity.
