Honestly, dunking Cole in the water, and throwing Mercer into orbit is but a minor feat for Starkiller, and since his reflexes are so much faster and conceivably more accurate, he would get first strike easily, throwing Cole into the middle of the nearest ocean till the guy fizzles himself to death, and launching Alex into orbit where hte living virus freezes to death in an airless vaccum.
