It makes liberals angry that the rich step all over the poor to make their money, so they want government intervention. The government and help regulate it, only to have those government officials get rich and have the perks.
Just see Chris Dodd and the Countrywide Loan scandal. You want to see corruption? See Democrats when they're allowed to control the economy.
I remember when GM was begging for bailout money or they would go bankrupt. Government intervention and regulation is necessary! The government will protect them from going under!
