I r hate u. How is the campaign???

Short (10 levels). Its starts slow but the action picks up a bit after chapter 5. I just beat it on normal. Im sure itll be much harder on legendary. The AI moves around more. Jackals are amped up a bit. They hide behind their shields more effectively. Ill do the legendary once I get an original copy. Not sure how good multiplayer will be. It only has 9 maps and they dont look that great. There are more modes in Firefight. GruntApocalypse being my favorite so far. A familiar face shows up by the end of chapter 9.

i hope it's not Sargeant Johnson... he's in every game. 🙁

even if he is awesome.

Its gonna be Chief or Cortana.

I kinda hope it is Johnson.

It's all up to Johnson's team now!
oh wait-

This mother****er almost got a perfect score; geeze.

Hm, to buy or not to buy.

I'm getting it, on day 1 if possible.

I'll get Halo Reach on day 1 also but won't be able to play it until around the beginning of October. I really hate waiting for my 360 to get fixed, especially just waiting for the label to put on my box so it can be shipped 😠

this is how excited I am about playing this game --> 😐

just saying... 😛

Damn... Looks like a day one purchase for me.

Dude, you should try and pick up some extra work to make some cash, man.

Like, ask relatives to fix their computers for $20-$40, if you can do that kind of thing.

I say this because I have two 360s for redundancy for situations just like that (and for the Windows Media Center option...which is awesome). Every now and then, games are released that are absolute must plays and I don't like waiting around.

Knew the game would rock. =)

IGN's closing comments:

"Halo: Reach is a fantastic package, with several core components that on their own can outclass many other games. The campaign is excellent, backed by solid storytelling and a powerful audio-visual experience. The competitive multiplayer is familiar, yet brand new with a lot more options and a faster pacing. And the cooperative Firefight arcade mode has finally met its potential. Whether you like playing with friends like me or you're more of a lone wolf, Halo: Reach has evolved to the point where it'll make everyone happy. It's a fitting end to Bungie's involvement with the franchise, one that both references the past and injects new life into a tried and true formula. Newcomers and Halo fans alike will find plenty to love in Halo: Reach. Even if you've grown tired of the Halo formula through the years, I'd still recommend this game to you. It's just that good."

I do wonder though, how much of that is an honest opinion, and how much of it may just be bias due to the fact that it's one of the biggest game franchises in history.

Rent the game and find out for yourself. Worrying about bias in a review is pointless IMO.

gaylo reach around

STFU and go make me a salad, beoatch!!

Stop, you two.

Kaliero, what do you think of this game?

LoL Yo Gen we ain't fighting or anything, but I'll watch the language

I am more interested in this than I've been in any Halo, but that's not saying much at all. I'm vaguely optimistic, depending on the campaign story, since multiplayer is not a huge draw for me (I like playing with friends, but not with only unknown gamers). I'll know soon enough when my Halo-crazy friend rants about it in a couple days.
