Sprint - this ability I found to be slower than I thought.. it doesnt always move you fast enough to leave a blast radius

and yeah I think the covy grenade launcher is prety damn awesome

That happened to me once in a Swat Game, except we were both standing, fired, and dropped to the floor at the exact same time... It was kinda comical actually...

SHit like that has always been present in Halo. I remember getting a headshot from shooting someone in the foot with the sniper rifle in a MLG match in HAlo 3. It was hillarious.

Invasion is up so there you have your new map, Ms Marvel. I have to invasion is a lot of fun and that dmr works just fine for a large map like that. All the different loadouts/vehicles and stuff make it really intense

thats not what happened there... the dude with the sniper clearly died waayyyyyy before the gun went off..

the gun isnt even in his damn hand when it fires and kills the other dude

It is really hard for Elites to win the objective invasion.

yeah its really hard to win as elites 🙁

game is fun though. i could see it being really intense with bigger team though

its soo0o0o0o easy for the spartans to camp with the tank on invasion. i havent lost a single match as a spartan

So far I'm 19 - 1 in Invasion. Been racking up kills like crazy with the Sniper, DMR and Scorpz

god hates me today 🙁

yeah they need more ability offerings than "roll"

Cool.. does the invisibility function differently for them?.. after all I believe it is their technology

from what i can tell it works the same for them as the spartans. I wonder if they will get something of their own as their replacement for spartans armor lock

any opinions on the new generator defense mode? i like the map. its pretty 🙂

I think its terrible that you can shoot the generators from anywhere.. I personally feel close-quarters should be the only way they recieve damage.. and I also think just tapping the X-button to grant a 30 second invulnerability is ridiculous..

the map is pretty but it doesnt suit the gametype IMO.. I feel this gametype would be best done in something indoors / space station like

overall.. I was thoroughly displeased with the 3v3 generators... and will be sticking with invasion

I don't think it is all too bad and it feels a lot more balanced than Invasion and its scorpion tank spawning nearly 4 times.

I think just pressing x for invulnerability is meant to counter the fact they can shoot them from anywhere.

I had fun in it. Shame we can't play other gametypes in boneyard and the new one with generator defense.

BTW did you notice that sometimes there is lag when you're near the generators?

its not that bad it has a good map and good location for the generators. the only generator you can get from a long distance is Alpha and the other ones are protected so well.

if you mean as in the generators lagging when receiving damage then yeah.. be dumping grenades on it and then like 3 seconds later the chunk comes off the life bar

as it stands, I think there isn't enough 'new' to keep this game afloat..

covies get 1 unique ability (roll) and spartans get 1 "ability" that should have been in the halo series for quite some time already (sprint), and 1 truly unique (armor lock).. the rest are just interchanged between the two.. which doesn't really give enough specialization for the species

and the weapons.. I really didn't want this games load-out to be like

"oh this is the covenant rocket launcher" or "oh this is the covenant DMR" blah blah.. shit is annoying.. I'd rather the two have completely unique weapons as opposed to "hey this is (spartan weapon) with a minor twist".. i mean did the covenant assault rifle not feel exactly like the spartan assault rifle, but with different graphics?.. I just think thats a let-down

I really hope they lock down on what they have to fix.. but I'm not about to shell out 60 bucks for only half the game (cuz I already know the story mode is gonna be cool)

I mean I have Halo / 2 / 3 / ODST (but not wars, console rts = lame)
so its only natural for me to have a strong desire to see some amazing changes in the last halo game
