OKay, we'll give it a go when the opportunity arises.

Fright Night had it's ups. But the original just ran rings around it. You could've called the remake Salems Lot 2011 and nobody would've been none the wiser.

Though I really liked the Salems Lot remake.
Dawn of the Dead was good too.

I watched one of those Salem Lot's movie damn it was slow getting to the vamps.

Well yes, it is Stephen King, after all...

Well, the vamps were slow getting to the town.. But it set up the town/characters/atmosphere well in doing so. (In the original)

And it works because you can see the big picture of how arrival/infection/decimation of town and pretty much everyone in it falls. And at least the Vampires were scary/decent.

Blows modern Vamp movies into the holy water, and shoves some garlic up their asses.

I can tell you Colin Farrel vamp is far from them twinky vamps.

Was that in the remake version with Rutger Hauer?

The yet to be released Dracula 3D?

Ah.

Dario Argento is directing it.

Oh wow. That should be worth a look, then.

Yeah. The film was a two parter I think and more fleshed out. I loved the Original Salem's Lot. The Master in that scene where he flies in the families kitchen and kills the parents then battles the priest in a battle of wills was genius. The modern film is worth the watch. Did you ever see the sequel Return to Salems Lot? I enjoyed it.

I love Argento-
Susperia. (the nightmare film.)
Tenebre. (great murder mystery.)
Deep Red. (the first SAW so to say.)

But his modern films suck. I'm still to see Giallo. But I heard he sold out there ripping off his main actor. But I should see it for I'm a HUGE Giallo genre fan.

And then there's the music by Goblin, probably in my top 5 bands of all time.
Certainly the greatest Horror soundtrack band ever.

Yeah I saw the remake.
But I never saw "Return to..." which, given how I loved the 1st was one of those never scratched itches.
The kitchen scene was epic. Loved the appearance in the Jail too.

I saw the trailer to the Dracula 3D Argento movie: looks quite....

quite....

HORRIBLE!!!!

Yes it does.

🙁

Ive a feeling Plinkett will be reviewing it on release.

Alot of the horror movie directors who have made classics in the past are just making shit now.
