And yes, Apparition is instantaneous, look here at :47.
Never again let it be said that apparition is not instantaneous.

Apparation is not instanteneous. 😐

There was no (dis)apparition in OOTP, what you thought of as apparition was merely that smoke shit the order + DE's were doing.
And the end battle, yes, when the OOTP appeared, that was apparition. How else do you explain how the OOTP was not there one second, then the next BAM they are there?
There's also the scene when Dumbledore escapes from his office by apparating.
So thats three scenes, all instantaneous apparating.
Here is a list of the Apparition scenes in OOTP:
Scene 3: Ron, Harry and Hermione are talking about the OOTP, Fred and George apparate behind Harry.
Scene 4: Fred and George apparate behind their mother.
Scene 20: Dumbledore uses apparition to escape the Aurors in his office.
Scene 28: The OOTP apparates in the ministry to battle the Death Eaters.
Any questions? Good.
Scene 3: Ron, Harry and Hermione are talking about the OOTP, Fred and George apparate behind Harry.
Scene 4: Fred and George apparate behind their mother.
Both times, they appear, they don't disappear, so we have no way of knowing how long it takes them to disappear, which was my point about how it isn't instantaneous and requires turning and concentration thus making is inviable as a form of instant dodge.

Scene 20: Dumbledore uses apparition to escape the Aurors in his office.
He grabs Faukes tail, is enveloped in flame and then disappears. Theres nothing to surgest that it was disappearation. In fact, the Basic piece of HP lore, that apperating is impossible in the Hogwarts grounds, proves you wrong.

Scene 28: The OOTP apparates in the ministry to battle the Death Eaters.
Again, you have them appearing, not disappearing, AS SMOKE. They didn't apparate. Furthermore, both times Belatrix 'apparates' in the scene, you can clearly see the smoke, proving that she didn't apparate.

In other words-
Like the fact that your consistently wrong in all walks of life. Seriously, give up. You will never be able to match my ability to.... surf youtube.
Yeah.
Look you know none of this will matter in 20 days.... you know its instantaneous, we know it's instantaneous. You just so far have the benefit of the directors not showing people dissapear in the movie yet. I mena it's not crucial to the plot but it is instantaneous. That smoke stuff btw, was apperation. Never in the books was this smoke mentioned and since the only way to teleport in any way is to apperate, that is what the director had them doing obviously. But like i said in 20 it won't matter. And on that fatefull day this thread will be bumped with a glorious....
PWNT
Then I will take these 20 days to thoroughly rub your faces in how much I've consistently owned you in this thread.
Plus I'm still right, its still not been shown yet and untill it has been its not viable. PLUS I can still argue that it takes time and concentration to do, owing by the amount of time 'dumbles' had before he does it and the fact that no-ones ever used it in battle as a dodge.
Untill then though-

And when it comes out it counts too. Wont make a difference.
Listen, the pro-Dumbledore people have been thoroughly spanked in this thread, as they were spanked in the Mutants Vs Wizards thread; there's no reason to hold a grudge and stick to some "I will be vindicated when the next movie comes out!" nonsense.
See what I mean, you're so angry you can't think logical, how in the hell do you know Iron Man 2 "won't make a difference" as fact, do you somehow know what happens?
