Question: If Vulcan couldn't beat BB when he was holding back from blowing up a ship with his voice, how is he ever going to beat SS. Energy absorbtion can only get you so far. After that, SS turns off his power.

Hmm it think it is debatable. If Vulcan fought Ravenous he would have done the same thing he did to the Sythar Elder.

His got some high showings like draining power from a Shiar battle cruiser, draining Warlock and what you mentioned unfortunately that's not going to be enough to contend against Surfer energy manip. feat..

i just hope that SS and vulcan dont fight in comics anytime soon. right now writters love Vulcan and seem to be indiffernt to surfer which is bad

a couple people said if vulcan can absorb ss energy or if his energy manip is better he could win. but no one has shown any proof that he can manipulate or steal energy better than ss or that he could take or absorb the amount of energy ss has access to.

Except that Surfer's been drained a star's worth of energy before with little to no effect. While havoc powered by a star's worth of energy managed to destroy Vulcan easily (one can just wonder where Vulcan's uber power drainage was at that time...).

The first time Havok shit stomped Vulcan, all Havok did was fall into a Star and fly back out. One dip and he massacred Vulcan.

thats the whole point. if havoc can do that to vulcan with that amount of energy and ss has much more energy, and several other options, vulcan will get destroyed.

He can't cut the connection.

It was outright stated in Annihilation that Power Cosmic replaces your natural soul/aura as an internal energy source. It just needs to be recharged via passive absorbtion of energy from the universe. Admittedly, this makes the Planet Hulk incident confusing...

Ie, not the same case as the Elder, who was being powered up by others, with the energy travelling to him, allowing Vulcan to divert the energy flow.
