[The physics behind that are mind blowing, btw]

And Wei, explosive damage is just heat and flying shrapnel. Shrapnel doesn't produce nearly enough PSI to pierce Link's skin and Link has walked on the freshly hardend skin of molten rock, a little bazooka won't phase him.
