While this is not strictly a Blackest Night question, it kind of ties in...and I didn't want to start a new thread.

Does possessing multiple rings amp your power??? This SEEMS to be the case (Hal in Emerald Twilight beating the crap out of the entire GLC...and Sinestro promising a second ring to whomever took out Hal/Kyle in GL # 25).

BUT...

If so why isn't every Corp looking to have every member wearing rings on all fingers/toes/sexual appendages?? There has to be a reason, but to the best of my knowledge it has never been explained??

it gives you more charge to work with, but bar that, it doesn't neccessarily make you more powerful. you still have to know what to do with them.

and you're only supposed to need one, that's why. 😛

The Watsonian answers have been: No. Hells yes dawg. No, but you think it does so you don't hold back. Maybe. Only a little.

The Doylist answer is: it all began with the GLC and the writers clearly felt that to make them more like space cops numbers were more important than individual power levels.

Which raises the question of "why do the alpha-lanterns get two rings, especially considering they are able to recharge their own rings off the power batteries embedded in their chests?"

Does having a cybernetic brain mean that you're able to wield two rings on different "thought-trains," and thus, make twice as many constructs with the same amount of will-power?

F*ck you, Guardians.

i didn't notice they had two, tbh.

if they do, it's probably just a status symbol, i'd guess...

-deleted cuz it made no sense-

HOLY FCK.

thats all i have to say about issue 2.

OH MY GOD! I loved issue 2.

It's crazy how the Black lanterns

Spoiler:
can't die

Too bad for Spectre

Spectre getting jobbed again. Yay. ermm

Other than that, it was awesome. The page where Hal crashed into the bat signal was epic.

Maybe people will stop ragging on

Spoiler:
Aquaman
. His scenes were EPIC.

DAMNNNNN!! this is awesome

The first two issues so far is way better than FC as a whole event.

Good book

Poor Spectre

Pretty decent, looks like the GL rings can't create fire on their own 🙂

The tie-ins weren't bad either. I bought them because it was a slow weeks for stuff that I follow.

If I were writing it, however, I'd have one specific sequence: upon realizing that the dead are coming back, but that Bruce Wayne can't be Black-Ring-resurrected, I'd write a scene where Black Hand monologues in front of Alfred menacingly with Bruce's skull but reveals that Bruce can't come back. And Alfred would say something to the affect of "Even in death he defies your kind. I don't know how he managed it, but he probably planned it all along. Good show, Master Bruce," and smiles contentedly.

Fanboy-ish, I know. But it would be all kinds of badass.

Agreed. I think at least the theft of the corpse will be avenged in some way, shape or form, most probably by Hal.

Does anyone else think that they might kill off one of the Earth based GL's for this event? I think anyone of them could possibly die, except Hal.

I just like the idea of Batman being so hardcore that he can flip evil the bird even after he's dead. And I'm not even a huge Bat-fan.

So Sodam is still alive. Interesting....
