The Price For Freedom...

***WARNING!***

I can't help but blame America for all this shit.
Makes me a bit disgusted being an American.

Innocent blood is shed, whilst the American media filters out what really happens in the REAL world...
outside this make-believe fairytale land that we call "Land of The Free".

This was all over the damn news. What are you babbling about?

Yeah, really everyone has been talking about that.

I can't see the video. Why can't people at least try summing stuff up?

It's that woman that got shot in Iran. You can find it on google video, her name is Neda Agha-Soltan.

It happened over 2 weeks ago, I don't know, occult seems to get his news with a serious delay.

I didn't see any thread relating to this, so I had to make one.

Sure, make one.

make one somehow attacking the US for it though... what the hell is that?

All this shit started when the US and its "allies" started interfering with Iran's elections.

Should've kept their noses where its at.

US, or any country for that matter, has nothing to do with Iran's domestic affairs.

...it didn't start because the west disaproved of the election fraud, the people in Iran themselves had enough problems with that. It is true that no western country supported it though, but you can hardly blame them for that happening, I'd say you should probably blame the Iranian shooter or the government that issued that heavy force on it's peaceful protestors (and even just bystanders)

What? The US did nothing about or interfered with the Iran's elections. The Iranians want to blame the US, but they only have themselves to blame.

Oh for heaven's sakie... you are starting with the ridiculpus notion that anyone meddled in those elections.

Iran is in the grip of a religious dictatorship that blatantly vote rigged to keep its own power, and what you have above is those who want that dictaroship perpetuated shooting dead someone watching a protest against that rigging.

It is yet another example of the insiduous nature of Iran, and yet you want to make it an anti-west statement and somehow say is is the US's fault that that girl was shot dead.

It is thoroughly disgraceful of you.

I don't get to watch a lot of news but this has been plastered all over the place so I have no idea what you are talking about.

While the US media may gloss over things for ratings, it will also jump on any F up of the government like a wolf on a steak. Our media is as open or more so than most of the media in the world.

The US and its 'allies' condemned the results of the Iran election.
This resulted to heavy pressure on the part of the Iranian gov't.

Indirectly speaking, the US should've just kept its mouth shut.
Iranian authorities also watch the news y'know.
And you know how tyrannical Muslim extremists react to negative comments.

And now Obama is condemning Ahmadinejad..
Who knows what these bastards are thinking to do next.

I rather feel it is well that free nations condemn the activities of evil adminstrations, rather than tacitly condoing their actions by letting them go by with nothing being said.

It is not as if the US mailed all those protesters and told them to protest.

What you see here is an indictment of the Iranian rulers. That is in no way the fault of the modern US.

So the US can't disagree with the policy or actions of another government???? What kind of thinking is this? Just as other countries can say what they think about the US (which they do) we can do the same, and you are preaching about the land of the free?

^
I'm not preaching "Land of the Free".

There is NO "Land of the Free".

That's just black propaganda that the government wants us to believe in.

Old news is old. I bet there's a version of this video with "Yakety Sax" playing in the background by now.

I saw this clip on a couple different news articles, so I don't see how they were "filtering" this kind of stuff out. What cave do you live in?

Anywho, I fail to see how you can possibly blame the US for this. This is entirely a matter concerning the Iranian government and accusations from its citizens that the election was rigged. Obviously it's America's fault 😮

😆 Are you for real?

So your argument is that we call ourselves the "Land of the Free" but we are not, so why would this be an issue for you but normal practice for the US?

What the hell is the "Land of the Free" dealing with blacks???

So if you do not have the freedom to say what you want, then what would you call it?

So has anything interested happened since this happened, there were protests or something, I was only half paying attention.

Actually, the US's allies did, Obama was widely praised for NOT condemning the election results, but only the violence used by the regime.

If a man comes home and beats his wife, is "she should have known better than to provoke me" a valid excuse? in your personal opinion of course...

At any rate, I was following this on the BBC as it unfolded. The video of that woman became an international viral video. To even suggest that media outlets weren't reporting on what was "really" happening is silly.
