Actually, the US's allies did, Obama was widely praised for NOT condemning the election results, but only the violence used by the regime.

Praised? I am quite sure he was condemned for failing to be a leader of the Free World and all that.

That isn't my position but the BBC often liked to slip in that he was being "soft".

I can't help but blame America for all this shit.
Makes me a bit disgusted being an American.

Innocent blood is shed, whilst the American media filters out what really happens in the REAL world...
outside this make-believe fairytale land that we call "Land of The Free".

Ignorance on this scale actually astounds me. It's people like you that compound the problems with democracy...People like you shouldn't be allowed to vote because you do so on the basis of the stuff you believe which is in actual fact a load of bullshit.

I have an issue with Neda thing. I am ''friends'' with a lot of profiles dedicated to her and to the ''green revolution'', however...

A lot of people have died, men, women, children in Iranian revolution past and present, but televised murder seems to do something completely different to the collective psychology.

I am not a supporter of 'green revolution'. I am not a supporter of Ahmadinajad either. Iranian revolution in '79 has replaced one oppressive regime with an even more brutal and oppressive one - and it started with the outside pressure/promise/prompting, just like this one.

I am sorry Neda got caught in the cross fire and died. Loss of a life is always a terrible thing - but she was not an active protester nor activist but due to her televised death, there is a huge outcry for her.
There are also other people that have died, but not on TV. Their families had to pay $1 800 to government for the bullet that was wasted on their loved one, but they are not mentioned - not by name nor by picture.

weird, iirc, it was the BBC who was calling him a nimble statesman and commending him for navigating a difficult issue

I never saw any actual news reports on it but on programmes like Newsnight, Daily Politics and even Andrew Marr the presenters were often leading guests to say that Obama had been too soft.

fair enough, I only watch the world news, and not the programs

It might have even been a mid east analyst or something like that

The only way the US is responsible for tampering with an Iranian election is the one in 1953 when Mossadeq was assassinated in one of the cruelest **** ups of US foreign policy ever.

A democratically elected Prime Minister, whose main crime was being extremely anti-interventionalist and wanting Iranians to be paid more for oil they produced.

Yeah, huge screw up.

That was back in the day when the CIA was for sale to US industry. Of course, it probably still is.

That is insane and sick, yowza.

Which one, the bullet thing?

Yeah, if you get shot you need to pay for the bullet, and if you're shot and die, your family needs to pay for the bullet(s) that were fired.

And if I recall correctly, it is $1800 per bullet, although the number could be wrong.

That doesn't seem right at all. I HAVE to be confused on this. This can't be correct....is it?

He is actually quite fond of the Pope which is interesting...

its occult destroyer. 🙂

If you shoot back and nail some of them, do they pay you? Seems only fair 🤣

China has a bullet fee as well. It's not uncommon. Ethiopia had it too.

Wall street journal writes on this -
http://online.wsj.com/article/SB124571865270639351.html

I do have to admit though, when I first read this the fee was $1800 and now its gone up to $3000.

I have not heard anything in the Eastern Media, so I will keep my reservations on weather it is true or not.

They could have a bullet fee, as it is not uncommon, but I doubt it is so much money. I doubt a lot.
