You still need to provide a conclusive source which states that Nihilus' attack is instantaneous.

KOTOR 2, when you find out the truth of Nihilus and Katarr. There was a great gathering of knights and masters, which Atris was supposed to attend. She didnt because she sensed the thing that was feeding off the life force of force sensitives. So, she arranged the gathering to draw it out. it worked. Nihilus came, and instataneously drained the life from everything, flora and fauna, anything with some breath of the force, all of it died. He was attracted by the masses of knights and masters. Miraculously, Visas somehow survived, but was dying. Nihilus saved her and made her his apprentice.

Yes, we know what happened. What you need to do is provide the quote from a character or passage from an approved encyclopedia that states that Nihilus didn't need any time to "charge" his attack, or any requisite to use it.

Well, considering how Nihilus appeared 2 times, and the second he dosnt do anything cuz it his holocron, then i cant. At least not without time, i need to replay Kotor 2 for it. It is somewhere in the talking with either Kreia or Visas. Maybe Atris. Atris DID say she organized it to draw him out.

Nihilus' attack on Telos would make absolutely no sense if he could perform his attack any time at will. He took a long-ass time orbiting Telos. So long in fact that he let the Exile, Canderous and his Mandolorians, and Visas to board the Ravager, fight through its crew, talk to Tobin, and make it to him (Nihilus). In all that time, his fleet was fighting the Republic forces and he never even bothered to initiate his Drain. WTF.

I think it was because he wanted to meet the Exile so he could kill her, or make Visas do it. To him, she was still his apprentice, draining everything would kill her to. He didnt expect her betrayal.

Maybe. Or maybe he was so far removed from reality as a result of his... "condition" that he just didn't care and/or notice what was really going on.

Idk, i just know a that moment he would not have been able/willing to use it. I dont think he had fed in a while, so he was waiting for prisoners instead of draining the planet. Remember, Katarr had alot of force sensitives on it, and he had not fed for a while, he was starving. He drained the planet and then went to drain survivors. You know about Visas though.

Kreia described Nihilus rather differently. Obviously, to him, draining a planet and feeding on the mass death of all cellular lifeforms would do so much more for him than individual people (that's actually why he came to Telos). He was either out of it at that moment, "charging" his attack, or he was just plain retarded. Either way.

I think its the retarded thing because he couldnt sense Visas was going to help kill him.

Wasn't it just because he was confused at there being no Jedi on the planet? I mean, this was the guy who thought he could survive having his ship blow up.

Nihilus dosnt breathe, so yeah he could. He most likely was suprised to learn of no jedi. But Bastila was near, he may have been searching around to find her. That way he could move around to find a better spot, then drain the planet without killing his troops, because he needs them.

since when doesn't he have to breathe

Apparantly he was simply possessing his armour, as it says in the legacy comics, though that might refer to after he Exile defeated him.

oh yeah, thats why darth krayt consulted his holocron.

Yeah, Nihilus has no body whatsoever. He is simply a spirit pretty much inhabiting a mask, robe, gloves, and boots. He lost his flesh to his hunger long ago. I think Kreia said that, not sure if its canon.

So sidious is retarded because he couldn't sense vader killing him...........

Look you like to put your own Inferences into events and think that those Inferences are canon even though they are just Speculation NOT canon

so Nihilus's drain is more than likely something he has to charge because of what Lucien has already said BUT that still isn't canon. It just makes the most logical sense.

Or maybe he was trying to see if Bastila was there like he most likely sensed. Why esle would he go there? Not that many people on Citadel Station.

poppunker

He was more than prepared to use it against the Exile. I didn't see any "charging" there.

But against the planet was my point of contention.

There isn't any evidence for that, either. It isn't even suggested. Meanwhile, Visas, perhaps cryptically, states that when Nihilus "spoke," Katarr died.

But of course, this is why for the past two or three years I've proposed a boycott on KOTOR characters. They're called "unknowns" for a reason.
