Poster boy or not Supes is a tougher nut to crack than BA. The fact that he's had to find ways to defeat dangerous and powerful foes without killing them, gives him an insight into combat, skills and a unique toughness that BA doesn't have. If anyone is going to make a key error or mistep in this fight, it's BA.

He beat him down in World War III, and again in a JSA story, with the help of Isis.
I knew of the WWIII instance, but not the other one. Was Lord Marvel going all out in the second instance you mentioned?
Also, is it true that BA defeated multiple Flashes simultaneously without an amp?

Supes pros & cons
I think it was Busiek who argued on Comicbookresources how he sees the magic weakness as not a weakness, but simply no specific resistance. E.g., he's as vulnerable as anyone else.
So by his view, if Superman is vulnerable to a vampire bite, so would be Gladiator or anyone else without special resistances..
Apparently writers like Loeb disagree, but I think the pre crisis era actually supports Busieks theory more, such as the Phantom Zone series where he gets cut by a magic axe, and is told by another empowered Kryptonian who's also a mage that physical based power is useless against magic, and not that the Kryptonians had a special weakness to it...

Faster? Black Adam was able to hang in there with Jay Garrick...And stronger? Black Adam has magic on his side... Not to mention he doesn't hold back.
Superman has superior speed feats.
Magic in itself won't win him the fight. By the OP neither man is holding back either...
