On my last message board, when Stormbreaker came out and Beta Ray Bill was in the middle of moons and planets exploding, and grappled bare handed with Stardust, everyone was crowing about how incredibly durable Bill was and that characters in Supermans class couldn't possibly hurt him.
But try and argue that maybe Supes durability (Supes being in the heart of a collapsing Sun Eater isn't impressive, because he was time jumping! So what if his cape got disintegrated from all the explosions?) speed, skill (Clearly Superman couldn't have defeated Kobra, since he doesn't have actual fighting skills.), or whatever is uber, and the same posters cry PIS.
Maybe it's a backlash against the really bad Superman fanboys, but it's kind of hard to find objective debate about the character...
