MM vs SS

Martian Manhunter vs SuperSkrull in a slugfest no mental powers including hypnosis & no prep.

MM. Stronger, more durable, better energy projection, the whole deal. Some insanely creative use of Sue's powers would be the only way SS would have a chance, and it wouldn't be much of one.

I thought it was "fires of passion" or some other nonsense- meaning fire that's intentionally used offensively against him will work just fine, but he won't lose his powers around lit matches like he used to.

SS has the damage soak of Reed and Thing, plus he is in the 85 ton range and can go supernova. MM died by fire in Final Crisis from Libra.

Reed and Thing's damage soak isn't that impressive vs. MM's strength level IMHO, but the abilities of the torch + invisible woman absolutely break this match.

Also, don't forget that Jonn is a hero and would (in normal circumstances) only go for a KO, but the SS is ABSOLUTELY a killer, and will use the most lethal means as soon as he can

Forgot about the fire stuff. MM is still in a different league. Thing's strength and durability is a joke compared to J'onn. Not to mention that SS won't have an answer to phasing.

Thing's strength isn't in jonn's class but I think the durability is. Remember Thing has taken hits from the hulk for years now.

Can jonn phase through the torch's flames and sue's force fields? Can he detect invisible objects with no TP (per the OP?)

No hypnosis for SS. MM still has all of the powers of the F4 anyway plus more. Strength greater than Thing, turn invisible like Sue, stretchy like Reed, Fly & project heat -Torch. Plus with his intangibility and speed he definitely could win.
