I have actually known about this for a month or two, and I gotta say, if they keep it like it is in the art, I am looking forward to it.Also, as for moar art:
This video shows every piece of concept art I am aware of, along with proposing a theory for the plot.
Cool!

September 25, 2009 - Disney sent out press invitations earlier this morning for a promised announcement of an "iconic new title," which is believed to be the long-rumored Epic Mickey title from Warren Spector's Junction Point Studios.Disney has been tight-lipped on this project ever since conceptual art surfaced months ago, revealing gorgeous-looking scenes and character designs. A platform has not been revealed either, but artists' resumes point towards it being a Nintendo Wii title.
Looks like we'll finally get our answers next month. Stay tuned!
the invitation looks Epic! 😄

Something epic is brewing...
There has not been a Wii cover story on Game Informer for 41 issues. I've only been subscribed to Game Informer for about a year and a half now, so I only know this because a letter in the DearGI section (a fan mail section, for those of you who may not know) tipped me off. However, that's not really what I came here to talk about.I came here to tell you that next months issue will feature the first Wii cover story in 42 issues. This Wii game will introduce the new magazine design, as well as the website relaunch. So what game could possibly be exciting enough, revolutionary enough, and simply mind-blowing enough to deserve this sort of treatment?
*5 minutes later* I was hoping to show the 2 pages from this months magazine that made the reveal for next month's cover story, but it just so happens that neither on of printers want to scan the images to my computer, so I'll just just have to be blunt about it:
It's Epic Mickey.
For those of you who haven't heard of the game, there's some magnificent leaked concept art here. From another batch of leaked information, we are also led to believe that the game will have you drawing and erasing whole parts of the environment. The story, from the the information that was leaked, centers around old and forgotten Disney characters who are out for revenge on Mickey Mouse for retaining his enormous fame. One can only hope that this information is true, because this painting concept would work exceptionally well on the Wii, and the story sounds very interesting.
The concept art looks very much like a steam-punk setting, and I personally interpret it to look like something of a post-apocalyptic zombie survival game intertwined with the Disney universe. I've already marked this as a day 1 purchase after only having seen a few leaked concept art images and heard a very vague description of the gameplay and story. This next month will be a long one, waiting for more information on this truly epic game.

Epic Mickey Exclusive to Nintendo Wii
Everybody's favorite mouse appears in an all-new title.
October 5, 2009 - The rumors can finally be put to rest. The much anticipated Epic Mickey project from Warren Spector's Point Junction Studios is indeed exclusive to the Nintendo Wii platform, according to the upcoming issue of GameInformer.
The project was first uncovered when concept art was discovered on artists' portfolio websites, giving us a glimpse at what appears to be a very dark and mature Disney title.
No other information about the game was revealed at this time, but until then, we can all stare at the awesome cover art below.

judging by the art, and the fact that it's a Wii exclusive, I'm pretty sure this game will be something like Okami, gameplay wise.
I was thinking that as well. Brush stroke attacks via Wii-mote would be sweet. A little platforming action would be nice too, something like Super Mario Galaxy.
