Of course Sentry could beat him. Even Wolverine could do the same in that situation, in fact.

When someone loses control of their powers they are infact more dangerous. And no Wolverine would be flying around like junk metal in that situation

Magneto's powers were out of control and redundant when Sentry took of his belt. The fact that Sentry got to an out of control Magneto is outstanding.
