I feel horrible but it was funny...

My sister and I just got done having breakfast at a restaurant. Our bill came to $16.70 and I only had $11 cash on me. So the rest of the bill was paid in change and for the tip I could only dig up another $1. I am normally a big tipper so I felt really bad so I felt her a bracelet too. 😂

Maybe it's not that funny... But to top it off she yelled out the door to us and asked if we had forgotten a bracelet. So I had to actually say it was part of the tip 🤪

Has anyone else had this experience?

P.s. I made a mental note to leave her a rather large tip next time.

HAHAHAHAAH.

KMC moved by the way.

I left free movie tickets once...

better than a bracelet haermm

How is it funny? Why did you feel horrible? I hate the "must tip" world we live in.

If you cant afford it, you cant afford it, its not the end of the world.

I don't understand why you should feel obliged to tip. Tip if the service is exceptional, don't if it's not.

I'd love to say that's what I do..... But I... Like everyone else... tip most of the time.

Although tipping in the UK isn't as obsessive as it is in the US

I donno. I guess it's just the way I've learned.

Shoulda left a $1 and the money needed to pay and then run for your life...😄

😂 I considered dumping out my purse and just leaving all the pennies at the bottom.

That could be plan B

Well, if the service was good..then yeah, shame on you.

😉

When I went to visit my sister and her boyfriend in Switzerland (her bf is from there) we had a crap waitress and apparantly he told her to f*ck off, course he said in Swiss so I didn't realize did he mentioned it

Oh well, I've been in the situation where I wanted to leave a good tip but was a couple dollars short. Not too much you can do about it. Well.. I guess you could leave a bracelet 😛

I definitely tip according to service but it's very rare I won't leave anything. I don't know about anywhere else but servers here make a couple dollars less than minimum wage, so they largely depend on tips.

I've always wanted to speak another language so I could tell the dictators- I mean administrators at my school to F*ck off, eat dog shit, stuff like that.

But yelling it in a crowd of people is just as funny, especially when they hear you and start looking around everywhere.
