"It is a pleasure to meet you Malbeth," Talin says respectfully, offering his good hand. "I am Talin from the mines of Darud-Mor. I came with the group that helped defend Princess Malachiel."

"During our journey, we had stopped to rest in a Cardolan camp. There was apparently a Gondorian messenger there. He was assasinated by an entertainer who was working with the Orcs that attacked the camp as a diversion. We followed the entertainer, and three members of our group went into a Dunlending tower to kill the entertainer and retrieve the dispatch. The dispatch was partially about the hunting party that Princess Malachiel would be on, and I'm not sure I should speak of the other part of the dispatch."

"There are only three Gondorians here, Aranui, Zeratul, and I. I might want to leave the business matters up to Aranui. It's my job to protect him, not negotiate and talk of important matters for him."

"Well, now you are here you can make yourself at my disposal," says Turambar. "This is important. Whatever Arvedui's military plans are, King Earnil will want to know. But I doubt he will tell the whole story to this gathering."

-

"A DUNLENDING tower?" says Marakith. "Where?"

And when you show him THAT, he draws a line between the tower of the ambush, and uses that as the diameter of a circle he draws.

"You headed straight to the convoy after you were at the tower? As fast as you could?"

(this dispatch, being Gondorian, was nothing to do with the Princess; you just overheard that bit but no need fo me to slow things down by making you spell it out)

(talking of the dispatch, someone really should hand it over to the person it was due to!)

-

Malbeth shakes your hand, Talin, weakly. "I know where you are from," he says. "And I know you seek revenge on the one who wounded you. You will meet him again."

"How can you be sure, and how do you know of these matters? Are you a philosipher of sorts?" Talin inquires.

"Of sorts," he says. "And I have a present for you." He passes you a small leather bag. "You will need these more than I."

(It think that is a hint for me, am I correct?)

Anglomir quickly fetches the dispatch and hands it to Turambar.

(Turambar...why does that name sound familiar?)

"Thank you, Malbeth," Talin says. He opens the leather bag to see what it contains.

"That's what I recall doing," Wililam replies. "We had to ward off a flock of crebain on the way, right about here..." William points out that location on the map.

It contains dried herbs, Talin; not your sort of thing at all.

"And now I am tired," says Malbeth. "Excuse me, I will go sit somewhere."

-

You have probably heard the name before- Turin Turambar is a legendary human hero from long ago.

"What is this?" asks Turambar, opening it and reading it. His eyes widen as he does so.

"Before you go, might you tell me what these are? It would be much appreciated, as I am not particularly good with identifying herbs..." Talin says.

"Don't worry," says Malbeth, shuffling away. "You'll have little trouble finding out what they are, and knowing when it is they will be of use to you."

"Well, whatever they are, I thank you for them, Malbeth," Talin says.

He heads to Vardalain to have them identified.

Vardalain does seem to be nattering with the Prince... unless he is done.

"I take it this interests you? We found it on our journey. The original messenger was killed by a traitorous entertainer at the Cardolan camp we stayed at, and we killed the entertainer to ensure that the Arnorians received it."

"Damn the Arnorians, it is ME the message is for! The courier was killed you say?"

(Am I waiting for an update?)

"Yes, stabbed multiple times in the back. The entertainer was working with the Orcs and Dunlendings as a spy, so they know of what the dispatch contains, sadly," Anglomir says grimly.

"This DAMN place!" says Turambar. "That was a good man! Security here is a joke; the Witch-King has spies EVERYWHERE. It is the one thing Earnil does not seem to understand."

-

"Crebain get everywhere, makes no difference," says Marakith. He fills in the left side of the circle. "But if you went straight there, then how could the message of the Princess have gotten to the Dunlending capital [whose name escapes me, sorry!- Ush], let alone Angmar, if you say this force was all orcs, and THEN the force gotten to the convoy so soon after yourselves, hmm? Anywhere anyone could have usefully gotten that message to is in the opposite direction of the way you came."

"We were in Cardolan, so neither Earnil or Arvedui could have done anything about it," Anglomir says. "Though I suppose you're right about the spies. They are a major problem..."
