As far as fav films go from him the list is pretty straight forward.
1. Pulp Fiction. Jules alone did it for me. The movie just is overall greatness.
2. Jackie Brown. Another classic and great movie.
3. Reservoir Dogs. A great movie.
4. Inglorious Bastards. Pitt was brilliant in it.
5. Kill Bill I and II. I wasnt a huge fan to be honest. However I love that RZA scored for the film.
6. Death Proof. I was not a fan of Death Proof.
Definately Pulp Fiction.
That movie kicks ass in every aspect; from genius dialogue to the plot device (the briefcase). And the career's of the entire cast are alive because of that movie: Travolta and Willis were in serious slumps and everyone thought they were fading, and Jackson, Thurman and Ving Rhames were all basically unknown character actors until that movie came out.
Three scenes always make me laugh:
-When Vince and Jules are arguing about whether a foot-massage is cheating.
-Christopher Walken's speech about the gold watch.
-Tarantino's "Dead N*gger Storage" rant.
Out of those listed:
1. Inglorious Bastards. The best Tarentino film to date. His masterpiece. One of my favorite movies of all time. In my top 10.
2. Pulp Fiction. Very good film. Not one of my top all time films, but still a very enjoyable film. Not a second time watcher for me, though.
3. Kill bill 1 and 2. Both good films. I watched the Kill Bill 2 film twice, but it still wasn't better than Pulp Fiction.
4. Jackie Brown. Enjoyable. Better than most films.
5. Resevoir dogs. Some parts in the film are great. Altogether, not a very good film. From the acting, to the prop mistakes, to the sound editing. I gave this movie a 5 out of 10.
6. Death Proof. Altogether, a shitty film. Only cool part was the major crash. Very cool. I give this is a 4 out of 10.
I am always off base here, with you guys. It's like I have different tastes in films than almost every one of you.
1. Pulp Fiction. Favorite movie of all time.
2. Inglorious Basterds. Hans Landa was such a huge surprise. One of my favorite bad guys of all time now.
3. Jackie Brown. I loved Sam Jackson and DeNiro in this. Great overall story too.
4. Kill Bill 1 & 2. When these first came out, I was absolutely in love with them. Each one offered something different, yet combined to be great. However, for whatever reason, it just didn't have the "staying power" for me. I felt like it was a top 5 movie for me when it was new, and now.... top 25 maybe. Not sure why it didn't have that staying power, it just didn't. It may have to do with the length. It was great when it was all new, but I never feel like watching a 4 hour movie that I've already seen before.
5. Reservoir Dogs. I really like this movie as well. I respect the movie a lot for how it helped boost the independent films, but I feel like it is at times overrated for what it did rather than for how it actually is (people do the same thing with Clerks).
6. Death Proof. The only thing that QT was truly the creator of that made me ask "really?" I liked it, and I loved the whole Grindhouse experience overall in theaters, but I didn't expect Death Proof to be the worst part of Grindhouse.

Very well said. I think this better captures my sentiments on it. Clerks as well. I watched Clerks, again, about a year ago. Sure, I Laughed pretty damn hard at a couple of parts because it had been years so it was almost new. But, I was rather unimpressed. I was more impressed with Clerks 2, but that still was barely above mediocre. Best part was the LoTR part.
Gotta go with Pulp Fiction. I could watch that movie a million times and never get sick of it. Just an awesome movie.
I'm also a big fan of Death Proof. I thought it was really well done, and you have to love the cars and the stunts.
Of course, have to mention the dialogue in his movies, particularly Pulp Fiction. I just love it. It's so... funny, clever and pretty much irrelevant to the situations in the movie but... real, I guess? Pretty much conversations you'd actually have. It's quite refreshing. A serious problem that movies seem to have lately, aside from a number of things, is the lack of decent dialogue. No one can do it like Tarantino can.
I haven't seen Inglorious Basterds yet, but I'm going this week. I'm very excited, I hear great things all around about it, but I guess I didn't really expect anything less from him.

No. Jackie Brown is a rather slow paced movie, but it has incredible character development, in my opinion and, also, some great dialogue.
Death Proof, in my honest opinion, was just too slow and overdone. I was really disappointed with it.

Based on what you described about why you liked Pulp Fiction, you should love Inglorious Basterds.
