His stand up is good, but not great. But he uses his stand up (he chooses such style) well for MMA.
He has world class sambo and good stand up, brutal ground and pound and slick submissions. Like he said, he uses such style for stand up intentionally. It wouldn't do good in K1 or boxing, but for MMA it's great actually.
He is also very quick and explosive.
