I don't know why Elijah cares about the real curse. Werewolves on Vampire Dairies are almost as useless as they are on True Blood... not really seeing how the twist is a boon for Klaus, or a problem for the other originals.
Because Klaus would be too powerful, and the new line of hybrids would threaten him and all vampires. Pretty much what he said in that episode. I don't know why he would be concerned personally since he is still immortal save the dagger/ash or magic. Maybe he cares about the other vampires or wants to maintain control.
Werewolves on here are much more dangerous than True Blood since its bite is fatal... although not to originals.

liked tonight's ep a lot... kluas is one cool dude 😄does anyone know if katerina is bulgarian in the books or is it because nina dobrev is actually bulgarian?
The show doesn't really follow the books any more. I don't think she was Bulgarian in the books.

thanks
I don't know it seems to me like werewolves are so weak that the power a hybrid gained would be nearly inconsequential. He could kill normal vampires on a full moon with a werewolf bit after a prolonged period of time... but it's already easy enough (and much faster) for an original to rip out vampire hearts.
Are there "original" werewolves, who don't suck dog balls in Vampire Dairy lore?

Do werewolves age in Vampire Diaries or do they stay young like Vamps? Because if Werewolves get stronger the older the get like Vamps, then it makes sense why we haven't seen any impressive ones.
I've wondered that myself.
I don't think they are immortal simply because all the werewolves we've seen so far are people in their normal lifetime.
The thing about Werewolves is that I never felt they got stronger with age like Vampires, and I'm not just talking about Vampire Diaries, but all the other lores.
Personally, I would like Werewolves to be humanoid, immortal, with animal-like physical abilities, but with an accelerated healing factor, and don't get more powerful with age. Start out stronger than a new born Vamp, but would get raped by an elder.
