Krillin's destructo disk vs SSJ4 Gogeta

What if Krillin ala Cell Saga threw his destructo disk at SSJ4 Gogeta, and it hit him straight through the waist?

The Destructo Disk is stated as being able to cut anything, and it's not hyperbole, since everyone goes out of their way to dodge the damn thing. It's just one of the slowest attacks in the whole series. So yeah, it would cut SSJ4 Gogeta, probably in half, if not that, it would at least leave him wishing he didn't get hit with it.

Well if it went through his waist then he'd be dead.

It won't go through though if he he actually did hit him.

Strange...how is the disk capable of cutting anything? How is it so powerful?

Actually, I just read up on it. It did hit Cell's neck, but it broke because Cell was too tough or something. However, Krillin went on to cut Kid Buu in half with it.

So Krillin's Destructo Disk won't do anything, but if someone more powerful threw one, it could, since when Cell threw a D-Disk at Gohan, and Gohan threw them back, Cell dodged, meaning he knew his Destructo Disk could cut him(The purple one Frieza used)

In the mange though, the D-Disk does cut through anything, and you can't block it, you can only dodge.

And the reason it cuts is because the user shapes their ki into a disk, then sharpens the edges.

So it being sharp somehow allows it to cut through anything??? Swords can't cut through plate mail simply because they are sharp.

Oh, and why doesn't Krillin just sneak up on Cell when he's asleep (does he sleep?) and use it on him?

Well considering you're making the most potent source of energy in the whole universe into a blade as thin as you can, I'm pretty sure it increases it's cutting power.

And don't ask me, Toriyama came up with this stuff, not me.

Cell doesn't sleep, when he challenged the Z-Fighters, he sat there for 3 days, people thought he was asleep, but he was just waiting. Besides, Krillin's version doesn't work on Cell, either someone more powerful needs to do it, or he needs to get a boost in power, then use Freiza's version.

So Krillin can NOT hurt Gogeta with it.

Yeah, I already said that in my 2nd post.

I also said that someone with a high enough power level using either Krillin's D-Disk, or the version that Frieza/Cell used would be enough to injure, or cleave him in half though.

Gogeta won't just stand and let destructo disc hit him. He'll probably smack it away or destroyed it with a ki blast

That's the stipulation of the thread, he has to let it hit him, if it bounces off or cuts him is the debate topic.

Except Krillin hit Cell in the back of the neck with one, and it splashed over him without even slightly cutting or stunning him. Gogeta would eat a thousand Destructo disks for breakfast.

Yeah, if it's made by someone stronger it can cut more, but it's not hard to cut or maim Buu. He got holes blown through him by bullets. That's the greatness in his design, he can regenerate almost anything even if it vaporizes him.

Cell was harder, like the z-fighters. If Krillin shot one at SSJ Goku, it would bounce off of him. Gogeta would do the same with one from Cell, lol.

In the manga, IIRC no one has tanked the Destructo Disk.

True, no one has been able to stop the Disk in the manga.

The anime makes another inconsistency by having it shatter on Cell but slice through Buu, where the villains have a great gap between them but Krillen's strength is near enough the same.

Yeah, even the part of the anime where SSJ2 Gohan 'catches' twin Destructo Disks launched by Cell is non-canon filler.

As for this thread, I wouldn't be surprised if the Disk shattered on impact. GT was pretty much the exception to ALL the rules. /shrug
