OX!!!! WTF?!?! Where have you been???
Hey man, it's been a while. Good to hear from you. 🙂 I've been busy with my study. I'm afraid anonymously debating Star Wars on an internet forum with a myriad of seedy/retarded/socially deprived users had to take a back seat.

based on the fact that dooku has to constantly draw on the (unavailable) force to sustain himself in combat.Pretty obvious if you ask me. WIthout the force, dooku is an old man against an in his prime Samuel Jackson.
Stop being a knob. You know what the thread creator meant. By your logic there wouldn't be a lightsaber duel at all, seeing as how both combatants need the force in order to capitalise on their precognitive abilities; which are an essential part of lightsaber duelling.
Dooku loses.

Based on what? Your opinion? Dooku mastered the most technical form to it's highest degree, and was more than proficient in all other forms, as he was the BM for the temple.
Do you have proof for any of those three statements (Makashi being the most technical form, Dooku mastering it to its highest degree, and the BM position requiring high proficiency in all other forms)?

Yeah cos the fight in ANH really needed precog. then.

I'm sorry. I forgot that Count Dooku hadn't fought a duel in almost 20 years, and that he lived on an Outer Rim planet with almost no interaction with any other force users. And it must have slipped my mind that Mace Windu had four robotic limbs, wore a 120kg armor suit and relied on a life support system to survive.

Is any information given to explain the extent of Dooku's mastery of Makashi or his relative position among other Makashi masters? As I thought... saying that Dooku's THE master of Makashi is all well and good until somebody asks those two questions.
From the OS:
"Despite his stubbornness, the Jedi Archives record Dooku as being a formidable Jedi. He settled numerous disputes on scattered worlds and was unequaled in a classical form of lightsaber combat. Dooku was a man of remarkable character and remarkable lineage. His birthright as the Count of Serenno also afforded him incredible wealth, which he used in his political career as Separatist leader."

Could mean unequaled as a practitioner of Makashi... the quote obviously cannot be applied as a coverall statement in that Yoda was most assuredly superior to Count Dooku regarding both lightsaber a n d Force mastery.
Got necro? I do.
