beaten Sinestro, Hank Henshaw, Mongul, the Guardians themselves, Legion (armored and not), etc. etc.
proven to have the strongest willpower of ANY Green Lantern over and over again.....
Has YEARS of experience.
Kyle has.....
Self-doubt ALL the time.......
Guilt that he won't do away with that affects his willpower......
he is COOL and his constructs ROCK, but they're far less effective because he doesn't focus......
He almost died several times as Ion because he couldn't focus.....
Hal would win in a squash. A pure Squash. This wouldn't be the back and forth fight it sounds like. It would take ONE page in a book.
Hal and Guy, much better fight.

I removed what you stated about Kyle, because it was more or less a cheap shot.
Smacked Superman Around.
Stabilized Earth’s Orbit.
Has taken out the JLA.
Has the most imaginative mind out of all the green lanterns.
All of Kyle feats, are permissible since his era took place Post Crisis.

imagination isn't as impressive as willpower, imo.

I got one word for you! Parallax.
Hal succumbed to Parrallax, and needed the Spectre’s aid to rid himself of it. While Kyle only counted on Hal, Guy, and John to overcome it.
Besides previously beating Sinestro as a rookie. Besides that there is “Traitor”. Hal struggled to beat a weaken “Traitor” with the Atom aid. While Kyle fought him (again as a rookie) at full strength, and stronger version (since he adapts after every encounter) by himself.
Besides that, it also proves Traitor>Hal. And we all know Kyle>Traitor.

Yet it still factors in.
The rings limitations are imagination and willpower. Granted Hal, edges out in willpower. Yet Kyle is no slouch in that department, given that Kyle matches Hal’s displays feat for feat (post crisis of course).

tbh, i think there's a such thing as trying to be too creative. hal's constructs are relatively simple, but they still pack all the punch required. that to me is the superior style, but as i said, that's just me.

So I tend to look back at how Kyle & Hal fared, under similar situations. Its clear that Kyle’s will power rivals Hal’s.
