The official THIS IS WHY YOURE FAT Thread

I want chocolate... badly... we're going out tmoro for a photoshoot so hopefully I'll be able to con my man into buying me a small block to quench my cravings...

I know a site where you can order a recreation of the US Army D Ration for $20. Trust me, eating that will cure your chocoholism. Oh, and it may loosen your fillings too...

mhhmhmhmmm chocolate...

I'm fat because scientists haven't figured out how to make fruits and vegetables taste like hamburgers and snickers yet. Scientists are so overrated.

However, based on the D Ration, they have figured out a way to make chocolate taste like cold mashed potatoes and as hard as cement.

The REAL reason why you're fat

THIS.

I think I found the website where you can see picture of most of the people who eat this food- www.peopleofwalmart.com

Has anyone seen the Japanese Windows 7 promotion?

There is no way in hell people eat some of those things on that website - or any of them for that matter.

Are there really people out there who sit there looking at the menu reading :

''A hot dog infused with cheese, deep fried, wrapped in bacon and fried again. Served with french fries.''

And thinking ''oh well that sounds delicious''.

What the hell?

Vegans are gonna love this. 🙄

Not only does that sound delicious, I've eaten and even made some of those items on that website.

Isn't it really greasy though? The kind of grease that makes you sick?

Yeah, it's surprising that 60 million people don't like or eat the same things.

No. I don't get sick from it. I do get a tad sick...just a little....from drinking suger-free sodas.

Also, I don't get sick from McDonald's food.

You get sick from it because you're body isn't used to it. If you ate it every other day, after about 2-4 weeks, you wouldn't get sick from it anymore and in fact, it would start to digest much faster.

I can eat a quater pounder with cheese and mayo, and 2 double cheeseburgers with mayo...and be hungry again in 4 hours.

At one point in my life, I ate at Mcdonald's almost twice a day. I was in the best shape of my life, at that point, as well.

I hope to, once I'm done with college, to do a "Super-Size Me" type of documentary that shows the exact opposite of the original: someone getting in shape while eating almost only McDonald's. I've done it and lived it for month on end, so I know it can work. The real point of the film is to enlighten Americans on what the hell is wrong with current fitness philosphy and common misconcpetions.

I think you are correct.
It is all about being used to eating something.

I would also like to add, that all this ''diet planning'' is dangerous in a lot of cases - what everyone seem to omit telling public is that moving about, walking or doing some kind of activity will be far more productive than having some weird ass rabbit diet - or that baby diet. What the hell is all that about?!

Exactly. 👆

I remember watching this youtube clip from the show "Wife Swap." One family consisted of vegetarians, the other, typical Americans (burgers, pizza, etc.)

The "American" wife took the vegetarian family to a fancy burger joint. The vegetarians all got really sick. It was hilarious...especially the part where the husband had a nervous break-down.

THANK YOU! That's exactly what I was talking about.

In some cases, increasing physical activity AND food intake will actually help someone lose fat. And, "lose fat" is what we should be striving for...not just dropping weight.

Also, with just a proper diet adjustment, one can actually gain muscle and lose fat, without changing their lifestyle.

It's about getting enough protein, fiber, and healthy fats in your body.

Here's a shocker: Saturated fats are good for you. 😐 They help with Testosterone production. Higher test. levels help one lose weight and contrubtes to heart health. Yes, I am dead serious. The problem with Americans: they think saturated fat is bad for you, but that's only the case if it is consumed in excess. An athelete is going to need more saturated fats than a middle-aged office dweller. And the logic continues.

Restricting calories is not the solution, most of the time, especially if someone is almost static in their weight. It's just changing the sources of those calories and being more active.

I think that's a clear indication NOT to eat McDonalds.

I can't believe the shit people eat. I wouldn't eat the stuff in this thread if I had an extreme case of the munchies.

I was simply pointing out that I know what a Scotch Egg and a Sausage Butty is. Not much healthier than most of the stuff on that site.

You were indicating that we all eat the same thing and therefore it is very hypocritical of me to say that things above seem terrible tasting and fattening.

Previously you also said something about black pudding. Black pudding is traditionally Scottish, ie it would not be served with traditional ''English breakfast''.
That said, I have eaten black pudding, and it is not that bad at all.

I don't think that all Americans eat that above, nor that all Americans like McDonnalds or other such foods. Especially, since when I was in USA, I ate some of the most delicious food ever. And it wasn't double fried.
I also eat some of the super greasy food as well.

My PERSONAL take on the fatness of Americans (and the British) is not JUST food. It is the over use of cars instead of walking and overall lack of movement and exercise.
That said, many many places in USA are just too far to walk to, and cars are necessary, at the same time.
