Yes the reality gem is powerful... But it does not have a large sphere of influenece if it is not backe by the power gem
The mind gem for example could do amazing things to peoples minds... When backed by the power gem... All minds in the universe would have been hers to control because there would hve been no limit to it's range/ power.
u can gather the gems regardless of the degree of the LT they just wont work when you try something universal they shut down...
but if u have them on u you can use them to a limited degree. Strange did just fine when he absorbed them into himself...
all LT did was scale them down to personal use in power and canceled them out when trying to use them in unison..
hell even the vampire dude from malibu comics could use them together it just wasnt as powerful..
if he knew how to use them he could have beaten silver surfer easy.
