(Gonna try this again. Tell me what u think Ush)
Its a fantasy type game.
Basically, the evil human King Hector Ecman made an alliance with the Goblin King Tosh Hignizen and are plotting to take control of the divided continent of Espa. My character is out to kill King Ecman for personal reason, but runs into others at the beginning of his journy who want Ecman, or the Goblin king dead for some other reason, whether it be personal reasons, or they are hired, or whatever, you deside; and they form a sort of... assassin group. I'll run the basic story line, but it will be up to the players on when and where we go.
Mutant Elite
on the streets of L.A two ravial gangs rage war on each other. they are the mutant elite & night rides. each gang member has a alblity, wearth it be from making ice to absorbing color .
the mutant elite is lead by x-men and mutant x while the night riders are lead by the brother hood & the strand.
this game plot is solely maked up by it's players.

MUTANTX
Mankind has always wondered about where he came from, how he is built and why he thinks. Science was founded on the principles of discovery. The problem comes when mankind figures something out he wants to control it, rule it. Make it his own. Even if it's himself. After mankind found the strains of DNA that were the blueprints of the human condition, we quickly wanted to manipulate it into many forms. Understand it experiment.
The original Genome projects were sparked after the Axis powers in WWII found out how to manipulate DNA to form results. The early experiments were utter failure, but soon the world shook and countries began to work on their own experiments. Most with the same results. Evidence decrees that through these processes, the evolution of man himself was ultimately swayed. Though this didn't stop the world governments from continuing. Thinking to create the perfect bio-engineered war machines, and other processes. Many renovations came from even the earliest experiments. Mothers who could not give birth could go through processes in which that they could once again. People born with defects could be swayed, Genetic disease soon seemed like it would be something of the past.
Under the watchful eyes of the public the genome was mapped a lot sooner than anyone knew, and the path of what would be later known as mutants and New mutants was blazed almost two decades earlier than any one ever knew. The story begins in in the Pennsylvania Institute of Technology in 1980. Two men, professor Paul Breedlove and a familiar man only known to us as Adam Xero were just creative scientists who had a dream.. a dream that would soon become a nightmare. But that would be telling wouldn't it?
Paul breedlove and Adam were best friends then, after Adam graduated from the institute, his former professor of genetics got with him and they partnered up for one of the most ambitious projects the world has ever not seen. Getting a US government grant, the two of them began the experiments to map the DNA of a mustard plant. Though it appears they were being watched over by this company called Genomex or was it the government? For the morning after their greatest success, the two of them were met by a man called Lukas Wagner. Wagner offered them the job of a lifetime. As it appears this man Wagner was trying then to start up Genomex as the world's best bio-tech companies. Wagner asked the two men, Adam and Paul to run the place to implicate their cutting edge experiments.
The first three years the duo spent taking the work that they completed on the mustard plant and applied it to the human genetic code. The three years went quick, and in 1983 Adam and Paul had unlocked the human genetic code. Wagner the man who was the government liaison funding the whole operation was with them every step of the way. Wagner's involvement was a personal one. Having a brother with Down syndrome, Wagner's life was also committed to reversing the tides of genetic problems.
The first test subject was a woman called Denise, a woman from the streets who they got to perform the first projects to induce child birth. 1983, also was when a new face entered at Genomex. A man named Marcus Eckhart, the head of security. for the next four years Adam and Paul, worked on how to implicate the changes of DNA. By incorporating a series of rad blast, they could change the very structure of DNA to replace strains with new strains from other sources. It was after six months worth of lab tests with Denise that the growth of a zygote was achieved. Though the cloning was flawed. The child only Gestated in the womb of Denise for six months and after it was bore it began to age in an exponential rate. The child's pain levels were sky high and it went ballistic. It was only enough to sedate, the mutant they had created. Denise committed suicide not three days after the incident, and Adam and Paul had to explain themselves to the government. It was not entirely a pretty scene.
Everyone took this stab bad, Eckhart, Adam, Paul, and especially Wagner. Adam and Paul slaved over DNA read outs for a few years dictating what they did wrong.. then had over calculated a single RNA string.. number 18 to be exact. The horrified Adam told Paul that he'd not ever work on another human patient until it was perfect. There was need for such loss of human life. It took them seven years to recalculate the entire radiating process, as technology developed so did their work. But soon they were ready, soon Adam and Paul had perfected their gene mapping work and bio-technology had been born.
At first it was only embryonic patients, but soon they learned they could also manipulate the DNA of fully developed humans as well. Though the discoveries of mapping DNA strictly from other human strains was not all that was done. It was also another discovery that Paul Breedlove had found out with the assistance of Eckhart that they could manipulate the DNA with other sources such as animals, and parts of nature. Though this secret was one that Adam had not been told about. It was some fifteen years later, and after almost 1,000 of these experiments of remapping DNA that Adam was researching a candidate that had went bezerk after a DNA grafting experiment that Adam found out exactly what was going on. Breedlove was doing more than just remapping flawed DNA. Breedlove was creating something entirely not human.
The Cold war was, over and the new century was a them, both Adam and breedlove were aging men, the year was 2010 and Adam had learned that all his work was a mockery. There was something else going on. It was no longer about helping people. On the news people heard about all these reports of men busting into flames, and women firing electricity from their hands. Genomex was now not the only bio-technology firm but were leaps and bounds over the competition. Adam Stormed into breedlove's office to ask him. Breedlove told him the truth. Adam left Genomex that night. Though he didn't go without his own last move. Adam purged the complete database of everything they had done since they began Genomex. This included the destruction of all the backups that were around. Genomex by then was more than just Bio-tech. They were a leading company. Adam left with all the money he had saved. Changing his Identity and purging all social security numbers, Adam went on the run.
Genomex had to start over from scratch, and Adam began to build up the underground. With the shame of everything he'd done, Adam knew he needed to protect and help all the children of Genomex he had created. To his knowledge there were a few thousand in the world. And the Mutant Underground began.
Meanwhile at Genomex, Breedlove was the sole leader of Genomex and had already made a few Subsidiaries called Breedlove labs that continued to do what they could, for artificial insemination practices. Breedlove too was very disappointed by what he had done, and Adam had left. For breedlove staying at Genomex was all about money. Where Adam had saved and was very careful about his cash, Breedlove spent most of what he got. Breedlove had no choice.
That brings us forward ten more years, and when the TV series begins. Breedlove is in his office now an aging man and about ready to give away everything that Genomex had done to the people who came to them. But Eckhart had other plans. Angry at how Adam had destroyed Genomex in his own mind, he needed to put his plans for the Genetic Security Agency in motion. Eckhart only had one obstacle. in October of 2027, Breedlove was found dead, cause of death... being burnt alive. And not 48 hours after this Eckhart went on the PA to announce to the newest project of Genomex.. the GSA.
So what about the underground, and of course MutantX? Well the underground started out as a series of safehouses linked together by Sanctuary where Adam has been hiding out as the Hubble of new mutant activity. The safehouses were designed to give the new mutants a place to go and change their lives.. protection. MutantX was created as the for most protectors of new mutants to find new mutants and get them to safety. Though as the GSA was formed and things got bad, it was no mystery that also Safehouses had to change. Many of them growing in to what is a bit like a unseen war. Though MutantX are the self proclaimed protectors of new mutants they can not be everywhere, and safehouses have came together with full on support, and they too have began to reach out and protect new mutants in their cities as best they can.
And so it began...
hows that ush
If anyone can be bothered to host a game of Vampire Masquerade, I'm definately in.
Ush would it be appropiate if there was a long disclaimer at the start of each thread?
I for one do not know the rules of Masquerade but I am highly interested in playing it. I'd probably go and buy the PHB if someone started one up.
Off-topic slightly, but whatever. Ush - what's the name of that RP game you based your games on? Kung-fu Martial Arts thing? IT sounds quite good.
Certainly good enough as a background, feralboy- how many people interested do you have?
If people want to play Masquerade... hmmm... I could possibly do it myself. Running a game of it is not really something for novice GMs (or Storytellers, as they call them). Err, and I am really unsure about the play base. I played a 10 yeare (real life) Vampire campaign once and it is not a simple game (I am talking about setting and plot here, not rules).
The game is called Feng Shui, Trick- it is an action movie simulator, with its own setting and plot.
Some time in the new millennium Japan falls into economical decay, mass unemployment reigns in the country. With no clear future available, the student no longer respect school, violence increases due to riots and many students drop out of school. With the chaotic situation the government enacts the Battle Royale act, which consists of selected one of the poorest performing classes and sending off to an island where they must fight for survival and only one student can leave alive. The students have 3 days to complete the game or everyone dies due to explosive devices on their necks, they are given random weapons and the only rules to follow is avoid the danger zone and don't cause any trouble or the army will kill them. Mistrust, fear and hate run rampant and chaos spread among the students and they soon give in to the fight for survival.
This is what the background for my idea of the battle oyale thing i so far have only one person interested. if thre is anyone else who likes this idea please say so
Of course, another problem with Vampire is that your approach to it is very subjective. Certainly any Vampire game I ran would feel much more like the original idea for it rather than the route it took (though I would ask you to have faith that this is a good thing)
It is all about morality and power politics, really (interspersed with incredible violence in a realistic world where death has consequence, unlike SW, Matrix or even LOTR). I'd need to be convinced that playees here were ready for that.
On the other hand, it is a very conversational game, and might be well suited to on-line play.
