Hi everyone!
As you can see I'm pretty new around these parts, I noticed that there is some interest in Dragonball Z roleplaying games, well, I've designed a system to play characters from the Dragonball Z world, 'tis quite a detailed document, and I've put it up on the net (but since I'm new I can't post it sooo... if you want to read it, drop me a pm) I would love to run a game using this system, the only problem I can see is that dice need to be rolled, if there is enough interest then I can work something out (maybe some kind of dice rolling program, maybe you'll just have to trust me, who knows!)
First, I'll make my pitch about the original setting of the world:
Set several thousand years after Goku defeated Buu, many things have occured. Most important among these are the following: The manufacture of artificial humans and biodroids (read, android 17/18 types and Cell types) became popular, and a foolproof technique was made, unfortunately, the machines rose up against their masters and, after a pitched civil war, took off to form their own worlds amongst the stars.
Emissaries from a distant galaxy arrived a few decades later, Saiyans from an outpost long forgotten, with news that there was a bulk of the Icerian (Frieza-type-creatures) fleet making its way into the system, life had been located here and they intended to subjugate it, this was mankinds first contact with the Icerian and Saiyan empires.
Mankind pledged its help to the saiyans in driving away the Icerians, and managed to succeed- mostly- unfortunately, a powerful wave of the Icerian elite struck a death-blow against the entirety of Earth, annihilating the Human home world, and scattering its people across the galaxy.
New Earth is now the official Human home world, basically one giant, sprawling metropolis, these events did serve to bring about one change in the general publics view though- they became greatly aware of the martial arts, and of Ki energy.
Shortly after the founding of the new planet, a group of Namekians (Piccolo type creatures) arrived in order to leave behind the usual Devices of Mystical Power (Yellow Star Dragonballs in this case) before pledging aid to the people of Earth for some mysterious acts which were apparently served in the distant past which the Namekians felt they needed to repay.
An uneasy stalemate has been reached, Icerians and Biodroids/Androids are the most hated enemies of humanity as a whole, but the combined forces of Saiyans, Nameks and Humans have managed to keep them at bay so far, with no sign of this situation changing any time soon.
Majins (Buu-type creatures) have also been created, but are -extremely- rare, and most people do not know about them.
However! All that is just ancient history, right? After all, there hasn't been a successful Icerian assault upon a human dominated world in decades, and the Biodroid/Androids have been very quiet just as long! And coming up soon is the Strongest in the Galaxy Tournament! As great warriors, the players all attend this tournament in the hopes of walking away with great honor and fame throughout the galaxy!
Little do they know of the great impending doom which stands poised to sweep them away...
Humans, Nameks, Saiyans and maybe Androids (not Biodroids, Majins or Icers) are possible for player characters at the start, and a fairly large group (say, 5-6? Maybe more/less depending upon interest) would be ideal.

There's a game I'm developing at the moment... Anyone here framiliar with the Fire Emblem games? Even if you're not, this will have completely new everything, almost. New planet entirely, new countries and characters... But, I'm getting ahead of myself. Fire Emblem is a Strategy RPG game. That is, an RPG set on a tiled map. It has a pretty simple stat system, so there's not that much of a learning curve. So, don't be afraid to try this out if you don't know anything about it!
The general idea is, the known world consists of a single large continent divided up into many small countries and territories. The history of these countries has always been filled with war and chaos, as all of them tried to snatch as much power as they could so that they wouldn't be crushed under the heel of a more ambitious nation. Then, around a century and a half ago, the wars seemed to all stop within the same decade. Nobody wanted to fight anymore... They'd been fighting for longer than any could remember. Diplomacy slowly started to pick up between the countries. After a while a sort of international council was formed, one that held the continent together in a universal alliance. Trade and friendship occured freely between countires, and the entire known world entered a golden age of peace and prosperity.
Peace does not last.
Eventually, nations began to grow uneasy. Old leaders had died and been replaced by more ambitious decendants. Countries no longer looked at each other with the same open kindness, and soon the alliance became nothing more than a simple cease fire agreement. Each meeting of the Council only brought more anger between already unfriendly countires, until they began to become downright hostile. As it stands now, it is only a matter of time until the alliance snaps. What will follow...? Nobody can say. Some countries are starting to fuel the forge fires, preparing themselves for another war, however... IT doesn't look like the peace will last much longer.
So, that's the general story idea. Here's where characters can fit in... The world, as of now, is pretty much a blank slate. We need Lords(Military leader types) for all of the countires, and they will need soldiers. There are enough countries that we can probably have 10-15 different Lords, each one with it's own mini-army. What's the difference between Lords and other characters? Lords are directly linked to a country, and basically each has their own story. The non-Lords have freedom of movement, being able to jump from army to army if they so wish. Or, maybe they could start a mercenary troupe? Who knows... Most of this stuff will be figured out by the players themselves.

I'min for DBZ never enough dbz rpgs tons of people were going to make one after i did but they all stopped except for one that was Spikes rp so n one minds if tehre are a bunch of DBZ ones mor efor me to play an ddid I mention I was in for Batman and X-Me nand put more detail into Batman who ca nwe play as? can we make up characters? whats the plot?
