Tyrant Vs. Odin

Tyrant wins just like I've always said.

Unlike Tyrant, Odin had Thanos in a position to where he could have slain the Mad Titan had he chosen to; it took Thanos 7 panels to fully stand after Odin did the following to him...

Odin could have easily driven Gungnir through the back on Thanos's neck once he had him like this:

Tyrant wins and fills many orbs with Odin-juice.

Depending on how bad Odin wants to win, this can turn into a Spite thread; Odin could go into 2000ft Destroyer mode, draw all the power out of the land of Asgard itself (as per Thor 400), and call Gungnir to his hand...

Odin wins 100000000000000000000000000000000/10 against Tyrant under those conditions....

And wins very very easily mind you...

And then put it all into a headbutt and KO himself 😉

Odin admitted earlier he was trying to kill Thanos so keep on speculating maybe you'll convince yourself of this fanfiction you speak of.

Tyrant wrecks him

Odin failed vs Galactus and had to enter the Destroyer Armor (current Mighty Thor series).

Unlike the Galactus/Tyrant fight, in his face off vs Odin:

a) Galactus never fed/prepped (and said he felt stronger than he has in ages) to face off vs Odin
b) Galactus isn't giving off anguish/distress/fear vibes in his fight with Odin that the Surfer feels through their rapport
c) Odin hasn't punked a determined Galactus

Which is contradicted in the scan I posted; Thanos was on his knees and helpless...7 panels to rise fully...Odin could have killed him.

What was there to prevent Odin from doing this other than his desire not to?

Not a dam thing...and you know it!

💃

Odin 7 or 8-10.

Is this not a common theme in comics? All the time this occurs in comics... somebody knocks somebody down.. then goes gives a speech... Because of this common theme of dialogue we don't then go.. ooo he could've killed him if not for that... We don't. We go by what we see...

I dont care if bad writing is a theme; the fact is that Odin had Thanos down in a defenseless position and had one of his greatest weapons in hand (which is a very powerful, sharp, piercing weapon)...

Instead of talking, he could have just killed him; if I got someone I wanted dead into that position, they die...gameover.

But he did want to kill him otherwise why bring it out? Why express surprise that Thanos was still breathing? If it was such a great piercing weapon, why not stab Thanos with it? Why blast him? Because he pushed right through that blast and tried to wrestle the spear from Odin's hand. He crashes down to Earth and Odin exclaims that it's finished, except it's not. Thanos was ready for more. Even his costume was barely singed.

Come on zopzop, common sense, you dont let someone you are trying to kill get up...common sense.

I expect that kind of argument out of quan...not you.

You'd have a point LoM, if this theme wasn't so common in movies, comics, books, etc...

If he was trying to kill him, then why did Odin give Thanos the chance to surrender while waiting for him to get up?

Also, if Odin expressing surprise that Thanos was alive is proof that Odin was trying to kill him, then the same has to be said of Tyrant, since he did the exact same thing when Thanos came out of the ground.

Yup, Tyrant was amazed a prepped and orb amped Thanos was still alive. Then when Tyrant wanted to put his foot down, Thanos TPed away. Even after all that beating vs Odin, an unprepped unamped Thanos was still ready for more.

Now look at the DP Tyrant/Galactus vs Odin/Galactus fights. A prepped and fed Galactus lost to Tyrant and even before that, a pissed off (Firelord even mentions this on panel)Galactus got punked by DP Tyrant.

Galactus had no fear of Odin AND all of Asgard. Odin got nowhere in a TP war and made a beeline right at Galactus. Galactus was shattered and reformed but Odin could barely speak, went into the Odinsleep, and then jumped into the Destroyer Armor (Mighty Thor issue 6).

You use the word "prepped" like Thanos set some elaborate plan up to help him take down Tyrant. All he did was learn about his history. Yes, he took one of a multitude of orbs Tyrant had, but there are too many questions surrounding that. Why did Thanos amp himself if he specifically stated he wanted to match his might against Tyrant? Why didn't Tyrant acknowledge the amp when Thanos blasted him? If Thanos could use the orb to amp himself, why did he need tech to drain it afterwards?

Yes yes, using his newly acquired BSE absorption ability, one he apparently didn't have in the original fight w/Galactus or in his battle with the heralds.

Galactus showed no fear against other beings that he stood no chance against. Must mean Tyrant would have beaten them, too.
