I would think the four scientists that should be on everyone's list would be Dr. Doom, Lex Luthor, Reed Richards, and Ray Palmer.

Tony, Pym and Forge are more about robotics then science.

pym is one of the best bio-chemists in existence.

Adam Strange is another that should be close to top 10. He repaired a space ship for interstellar travel while BLIND.

Will Magnus and To morrow are above Stark in terms of tech, IMO.

But Adam Strange doesn't live on Earth.

He may not live on earth, but that's where his origins are and he still helps earth heroes out all the time. He's an adventurer like Reed Richards.

I may be remembering wrong, but when Beast was trying to convince all those villains via tele-confrence, didnt he say that he and Reed were up all night and discovered a bunch of other things? Regardless, Reed showed his motivation by not bothering to do jack for Ben Grimm's condition, meanwhile Dr. Doom has depowered him like 3 times..
