He's being transported into the anti-matter universe.

Yes, by the ring. Even though it's not his choice it shows the ring is capable of teleporting.

i don't see why not? but it wouldn't help.

Shifting someone into the anti-matter universe is a -faaaaaar- cry from instant teleportation. Onedumbgo already covered this in one of his earlier posts.

Who said instant? I said teleport!

Boom, you just got faced.

Shifting into another universe and then shifting back into ours is not instant teleportation. When Abin Sur was scared shitless he chose to -fly- away desperately from the battle. If he's not going to teleport when he is about to die, he ain't teleporting.

They can teleport. The fact that you didn't see it doesn't mean they can't

It would be crazy for Hal to not be able to teleport. Regardless of what the greatest lantern in the universe did some time ago, the Yellow Lanterns have not shown this application. And considering how zomfg Hal, Carol, Sinestro, Isamot and Varth were after seeing the Indigo Lanterns teleport, I dare say they do not have that ability anymore.

Whether Hal or Kyle or Guy can do it, doesn't apply to the Yellow Lanterns who have -never ever- shown to be able to do so. Just like a single yellow lantern has not displayed enough power to blow up a planet on their own.

This is just a flat out lie.

Going from saying that a punch destroyed x number of galaxies to making up retarded science, is NOT being less silly. It might not be creating a time-coil out of some cans of peaches, but there's still a lot of ridiculous things taking place.

Comics are still very, very silly in the sense you mean.

And what's wrong with that? 🙂

not my point. at all. 😐

No, it wasn't?

You were just casually responding to a post about power levels and silly applications of a power? But it was not your point that writers stopped being silly? No? Sure? It wasn't?

no. my point was that writers had to at least TRY and seem more intelligent to suit their audience. yes, silly shit still happens, but not to the extent that it did before. a lot of the writers nowadays have access to stuff like wikipedia (yes, i know, ironic) and the internet at large, so can at least try to base their stories on some sort of foundation.

i'm not saying they all do it, but comics aren't as silly today as they used to be. i wasn't saying that they aren't silly at all.

To which I replied.

They still are silly. Marvel hasn't changed in the least. DC just started making up thinner science. An attempt at being more mature isn't necessarily the same as actually being more mature.

Look at Master Bruce or Carver.

i never said they aren't silly anymore. just less silly.

and please don't name names 😬

To which I replied, once again, that Marvel is still equally silly. And DC's attempt at being more mature, often makes them come off as equally silly.

to which i don't agree. i'm sure you could find individial instances of silliness, which is fine, but on the whole, to me, they seem to have come on a bit, even if it's not by a huge amount.

It's teleportation. Just because it isn't instant doesn't put it in the same category.

It's like running at 15mph instead of 30mph, it still running. One is instant and the other is not, but still fast.

Not only that but I am sure I have seen rings capable of teleporting. The fact that Kyle, or Hal have done is shows that they can. They also proved that it doesn't that excessive energy, or will to do so.

They have trans-universal teleportation then. They still haven't shown the ability to freely teleport around in -our- universe. And what good would teleporting into the anti-matter universe do? It's leaving the battlefield. Annihilus can't just go back to the negative-zone, that would be an instant loss.

Matter of opinion.

The ring was teleporting him to AM universe for training, doesn't mean it is limited.

i never said otherwise.

No, it absolutely means that it's limited.

We do not assume that it can teleport until it actually proves it. Being pulled back in its original universe is not the same as freely teleporting in the other.
