I'm gonna be a Sucker Punch fanboy and say Cole McGrath because he felt like such a real person to me. I think that's a real accomplishment considering the game is about him gaining Super Powers.

Since the moderators ain't editing the poll like I asked them to, I hope you read this post because I'm telling you now to ignore the poll and just say what character in 2009 you think is the best even if those characters aren't in the poll.

I can't believe I forgot Cole and Alex.

Batman (even if he's not new, or not strictly games) in Arkham Asylum was awesome.

Alastair and Morrigan, and most of the Dragon Age cast were great imo.

Chris and Drake weren't bad.

Meh, i'd probably go with Morrigan, i guess.

None of those characters were very good I don't think, aside from Batman, who was clearly above all of them.

Though if we're strictly limited to characters created for video games, then I'm going to go with Captain Price from Modern Warfare 2.

Man! did Street Fighter IV really bomb with their new characters or something? No one (aside from me) remembers them in this thread.

Actually, Rufus in SF4 is amazing. Better than Batman even.

But I still want to give it to Cole McGrath.

Mercer while being a top tier protogangist was a boring one in himself.

Viper is cool as ****.

Yeah Alex Mercer was pretty disappointing.
