USH'S STAR WARS GAME- LIGHT SIDE INTERLUDE- 'Broken Lance'

Information about how the pirates function, his connection with them, and I'll be threatening to arrest him and bring him to justice if he doesn't cooperate, while if he does cooperate I'll let him begin a normal life clear of all criminal records, but with authority watching him over the first couple of years or so...

Vera-Kin will go with Vlad, if that is okay. She'll be good cop, he can be bad cop...

Where is our strange coincidence of a person located these days and which attack was she at? Something recent?

That's Intimidation. How much knolwedge are you expecting him to have? Make sure yiu have a clear idea of what you suspect from your target.

You also haven't proven anything against him.

Indeed, we need to be more cautious. Vera-Kin thinks we should get a better idea of who this person is.

You might've missed my post when you were posting, Ush.

Up to the players who got the info to fill you in!

It was a person at the underground mountain vault on Krillia. That vault required precise timing to prevent the vault's security from triggering, so it had to be an inside job.

Did Essallin find out where that person moved to? What was his name?

I don't actually have a name- it's not that detailed an interlude- but he's moved out to a moon in the Megerro system; a sort of gated community, quiet and private.

Well there you go. Are we able to get any information about this man from Krillia?

Just a clerk. He'll be easy to spot, as the Kirillians are three foot taller than humans with very angular faces.

Alright, Planet Narrowing down.
First we need systems that the pirates can actually attack suitably. They only have starfighters and Cargo transports, Hostile atmospheres and Ocean planets and things like that are a no go.
Second, there has to be places to hit. Large vaults and the like. Usually this is because of a gap between the Rich and the poor but could also be due to a planets economy or trade they do.
There are 2 ways we could narrow it down. I'll come up with more later.

Yes, all the above is true and helps narrow things down.

Is there any evidence from the robbery in Krillia that would blatantly point out he had something to do with it?

Nope.

It's never that easy...

So he is a civilian who was basically paid for being their insider, not a seasoned or experienced pirate. Perhaps just the fact that Jedi have come to him and are telling him they are aware of his action on Kirillia be enough to scare him to death without any evidence.

Possibly- if you pass an Intimidation roll.

Which, currently, I would probably fail.

Well, I guess I'll be spending all my incoming xp to get Intimidation. A useful skill to have, actually. A bit against the Jedi way though...

Some of the Renegades might be 'less orthodox' in that department...

Meanwhile- the Cuuncil approves your request to offer immunity/reduced sentence deals to minor players in return for testiomny.

But they highly recommend you negotiate the details with local authorities. They may resent it if they see those that helped wqith the assaults given their freedom by your dictat. You have the authority, of course, but the more you can keep the locals on board the better.

(And when I say 'you' have the authority, I am only referring to Jedi players, not Renegades)

Well then I'll just have a talk with the local authorities when we get there, before confronting the Kirillian.

Is it possible that we ask the local authorities to arrest him, and then interrogate him? That would go a long way showing him who has the power and how serious we are about retrieving this info.

They have no grounds to arrest him.

And when it comes to deals about his criminal liability, it would be the Kirillian authorities the Council is referring to in this case. That's where the crime was committed.
