I don't think it's real shots. At most it's little winks, and even that is a stretch.

They claimed the treasure hunters were a reference to pirates... but they aren't pirates and they didn't look like anyone in OP.

Ugh..so I had taken a break(actually thought manga was on break) when Ultear reversed time....the entire thing got fixed in 2-3 issues? Ugh. I think I'm dropping this.

Or I might just read it for the lols.

Even as a fan of the series overall, it hasn't been hitting on all cylinders recently.

😆 Holy shit I didn't notice that at all as I just glaze over Fairy Tail shenanigans whenever I read it now.

But yeah Fairy Tail has taken a nose-dive as far as quality is concerned. Still nothing is topping Fairy Tail stomping the completion in the tournament, as far as unacceptable plot-progression goes.

There's a little thing in the side material about when each wizard in FT got S-rank (at least of the young wizards), and how old they were at the time.

Laxus did in 778 at age 17, Erza in 780 at 15 (record for the youngest), Mirajane 781 at 16, and Mystogan at 782 (no age stated).

It also says some wizards passed between Gildartz and Laxus, but are no longer in the guild for various reasons.

The end of the last story is weak, but the new story might turn out good

Tempted to wait for the anime to start again. I got my boss into Fairy Tail (he's big OP fan), so far he doesn't dislike it, but FT could use some work with consistency and story, but he enjoyed the characters.

One of the nice things about FT is it has faster pacing than the others. If you get to a bad part, it won't be *that* long until it's over. No Skypeia or Fake Karakura Town length slogs.
