As bland and repetitive as it is/was, I thought it seemed slightly realistic on how Batman would take down bigger foes. Though Batman's high IQ would mix in some new takedowns. So I'm also hoping for a bit more variety in his boss fights.

I thought the same thing. The way the fights went down they seemed ok, but adding variety(if done right) will make the experience much better.
Now I have this image of Bats engaging in an endurance fist fight with croc and bane in the antartic. dur
