Lightsaber-like energy. It's specifically the energy field that stops it, like the force fields in the other movies. Was speaking more on physical objects. The writers originally wanted them to be cortosis staffs if I remember correctly, but Lucas made them change that, too.

Its got some other type of alloy as well, there is a physical material. Lucas wanted something that could combat a lightsaber, something that just wasn't a sword.

No, he specifically did not want that.

I don't know why I put solid in there.

Well this was the biggest let down non event in gaming for a while...It seemed to be about half an hour long and had the easiest boss fights ever...I barely lost any energy to Vader in the entire fight with him.

Really expected a lot more from this and it didn't deliver at all.

Apparently the Tolkien estate ok'd it and made it canon.

But Tolkien isn't alive anymore. I hate when people do that.

This game sucked.

haha

Still has family. Probably whats going to happen when GL goes, his kids will begin to make decisions.

Where was this stated?

"Everything in War in the North that wasn't in the films is based on information from the books; we've been careful to stay as close to the canon as we can." This makes it definetly sound like it's not canon, but based on canon elements.

In all honesty, I'd rather watch the Wampa (that Luke encountered) shove its dismembered arm up its arse than play this game. Yes, it's that bad.

Anybody know if to get the achievement for beating this game on the hardest difficulty that you have to start the game over? Or can you just start out on the hardest difficulty from your ueber powerful Jedi? I'm hoping for the best here

After completion just start again on hard with the same save point and you'll have all the upgraded powers and get the achievement.

Unfortunately you can't just level select the final confrontation on harder modes and get it though.

Oh, sick, so I can just start from the first level all jacked up on force powers on the hardest difficulty and play it through? I approve. Thanks a lot!

I'll be getting this game soon and of course I get a lot of information about how people think it sucks; though the only reason I've been given is because it's too easy. I've watched a few videos of it. I think its supposed to be a game for people who like god-mode XD

The difficulty level is the least of the reasons as to why it sucks. Read the last few pages or so on this thread. 😬

I thought the story had loads of potential. Vader was certainly the most badass he's ever been in the whole of Star Wars canon.

Ow, my brain.

Growing pains? 😄

But forrealz. The guy was a Machiavellian schemer par excellence, a physical tank, and it is strongly implied that he allowed himself to be captured. Definitely conjures images of the dark side monster we first saw in TESB.
