Again, I don't know what the problem is with Element Lad so you're wasting your energy justifying him to me. But as for Zoom, all he does is manipulate time so he'd be powerless in this tourney just as Surfer would if all he could do is manipulate time because time manipulation is banned. Genis and his feats were discussed in detail before he was approved, they didn't try to get him by threatening to quit.

Just from my comics knowlege, Silver Surfer is the best Herald out there. He isn't as powerful as Thor, but he's so close, he's more versatile and is far faster than Thor in travel and combat. Thor, Superman Kyle and Hal, and Flash are the creme of the crop. Every one else sucks compared to those guys. 🙂

The thing about insane feats is that characters are still capable of them after becoming sane, unless an external power up is involved.

There is still Hal Jordan (and every member of all the Lantern Corps save Kyle), numerous Superman villains & allies, Beta Ray Bill, Orion, other New Gods, Martian Manhunter, other members of the JLA & JSA, dozens of Kryptonians and Daxamites, etc.
Its not just about raw power. It about having a plan to maximize a teams strengths and minimize their weaknesses through creative team selection and power meshing. Picks 2 and 3 are just as important as pick 1, imo.
