We actually see the blast in the surfer scan and damage and destruction to planets light years from where they were at. Same can't be said for the Superman showing.

We don't know how close Superman was when the blast went off. He was literally slung from the shockwaves before the blast went off.
Yes, Surfer tanked it. Some distance away from the explosion, planets were destroyed.

Why are you not understanding this? Surfer flew some distance away FROM THE AREA THEY ENDURED THE ATTACK and planets were destroyed. The only way Surfer and Warlock could've avoided the attack is if they were either shielded or the attack bounced over them since we saw planets destruction that happened far past the area they were at. Also, Warlock said they were lucky, not Surfer. Warlock admits later on that Surfer is more powerful.
If we are taking your route, then Surfer also endured a clash from Eternity and Thanos that threatened the destruction of the universe (the clash even slung Warlock away from Surfer).
Difference is, im not this desperate to use this showing.

Carver isn't even replying to the fact that his feat is showing Surfer as billions of times lesser durable than Superman.
