Another rebel. Though he's correct, I am certain there are a few mods in here not against oral sex on a penis.

Do you mean the intent is an assumption, isn't it?

If so I agree! Damn you kids and your typo's and text speak! Well in my day we knew what asumptions made!

Got it wrong, again, sir.

The scene is disturbing, yes. People will always find some crap to complain about. I bet those people sit there and wait for something to come up.

I am, however offended that there is no video game option to shoot up Americans at the aeroport!

Oh, no I didn't! *snap snap*

Excellent point lil!

Infinity Ward was chicken for not picking an American airport. It would have given the American media plenty of ammo.

👆

I like Modern Warfare 2, however the scene of the airport
is a little disturbing although is just a game, but i think
they achieve their goal of causing controversy and publicity.

Doing the same scene on an American Airport, may have
lead to a ban of the game here where their main players are.

Here are videos showing what has these groups of people flipped.

could you post a link to the actual people who are upset? As we saw with the zombie games, the remarks of individuals are constantly misconstrued to represent the views of an entire group or taken in the wrong way entirely.

the Russian Massacre in the airport:

hardly moving, or graphic at all. Me thinks it is the popularity of the game and the entire "call of duty" series, mixed with the "ooooh, scary terrorism" thing that would have even put it on the map.

I've done the exact same thing in saints row 2.

I think this is the opposite type of schock value that people should be going for. It is so context dependent, so Amero-centric, and really doesn't challange your opinon about terrorism or violence. Its just, OMFG, people killing innocents in an air port, and we all know how touchy airports were 8 years ago.

I don't see the actual issue, so I'd love to know who is actually saying what about it?

They haven't made levels like that because Americans are too heavily armed to gun down in large numbers without the crossfire getting the player killed.

GTA 3, San Andreas and GTA 4 all had airports where you could kill innocent people, staff and security guards, though the building was not enterable

Saints Row 2 featured an enterable airport where you could kill people. And a mall. And a university campus.

Hell, going back, the original Fallout games had a "childkiller" 'perk', where if you killed a kid, your character was basically hated by everyone.

it has nothing to do with the content, look hard enough and there is a game with everything. Its the fact that COD is so popular and its about terrorism and all these other context dependant hot button issues. People have been pushing violence for a long time, in a much more artistic way imho.

It's an option to kill people, not a mission. How about game where the mission is called ''No American'' then you go around shooting. Or another mission could be directing a whole lot of suicide bombers around vunerable areas.

No American is armed at the aeroport.

However going on your point, American version can be tweeked were you fly aeroplanes into buildings and aeroports (air missions), shoot out at an aeroport (ground missions, same as the one above) and biological warefare (contaminating drinking water).

Just for the balance of air, ground, water...

Fallout 3 has a mission where a guy offers you money to nuke (literally) part of DC. You're also encouraged to slaughter the remains of the US government.

A common myth.

So you want a whole game dedicated solely to finding creative ways to murder ordinary Americans?

I could see that.

I liked the visuals, power sets, and character progression of Fable 2 better, but the story and character interaction was better in Dragonage was better.

Fable 2 left me asking for more. Dragonage left me wanting some changes. Put the best of both of those together, and you have the perfect RPG.

Also, did you like Saints Row 2?

I liked it. MUCH better than ANY GTA game. I almost hated GTA IV. It was a major let down.

Again, compare ''nukng'' something with shooting out civilians in the manner like in the game above has hardly the SAME impact.
The game of kiling A'murka's residents should be the same as the game above.

Not whole game, one mission like the one above is sufficient, called 'No American'. Although I don't see an issue with having a whole game on killing Americans and American soldiers.
There are literaly hundreds where you go around killing people of other nationalities - more notably Russian but others have no escaped the options either, such as South Americans and Asians.

I don't see an issue with having a game from Iraqi or Afghanistani point of view where they go around shooting up civilians, flying planes into residential areas and suicide bombing. I'd probably never play it, but it should be an option.

I wanna see someone dare make one about Ugandian guerrilas/terrorists and American soldiers. I'd take bets on how long it will take before someone sues them.
