Everyone is jumping on Thor and saying he got humiliated again but the Thor never uses his better attacks. Especially on Earth . Thanos kinda no sold his lightning and everyones saying Blackbolt did better. but thats not even one of Thors most powerful attacks. That was Blackbolts though.
And so far in this series everytime Cap wants to find out if something can be killed, he sends Thor. We have to assume that was the plan of attack he had set forth. Hulk running straight into the pack I am assuming to either split them up...or something. I'm sure it was not the absoulute gangbanging that he got though.
I would have Thor just hit Proxima and Glaive with that same lightning at the begining of battle and leave Thanos by himself. Not sure if they still would have won though. Oh yeah? Where was starbrand and captain universe?

Thor wasn't defeated by thanos (although he would be in the end) and he did better with a hammer hit than Black Bolt with his scream.

Wow, what a bunch of crap. Just point out that Thor was fighting and trading hits with Gorr while flying at faster than light speeds. And Gorr is no slowpoke as he was able to toss chunks of moon rock at faster then light Thor's to intercept them. He also turned around and stabbed Young Thor's faster than slight Space Shark.
You guys should go to Comic Vine even if it is for a brief time and come up with some arguments. Go to threats called THOR COMBAT SPEED; THOR REACTION TIME; THOR IS SLOW...
The belief that Thor is slow in that Vine is huge and guys like KILLEMAL are spreading this even more each day and They have all Thor's low showings in organized scans so it's hard to argue.
I'm not angry because they say SS and Superman are faster than Thor but because they say he is slower than Spiderman, Wolverine and that Superman can literally punch Thor a million times before Thor can think same to Gladiator.

They're too dense. I've argued plenty of times on that issue. When the site has guys like Citizenbane as their mods, it's hard to get anything done over there.

Even then they don't bring up every encounter. They ignore the showings about Warren Ellis's Thor losing his powers, and him being able to keep up with speeding cars on foot. Or how once in a issue he was able to keep up with Cap across NYC. They also ignore showings of Thor catching/perceiving a random speedster like Hermes. Or when recently Thor tag Quicksilver, which proves the point that Thor isn't always portrayed to be this slowpoke.
Even if marvel editor/writers actually believes this, there still no way that Thor vs Sentry would be utterly curb stomp in Sentry's favor just because of speed, even biggest pro-Sentry supporter would realize that comics wouldn't make it that ONE-sided. I doubt you would often ever see Sentry blitzing Thor like Battleboard believe it would happen.
They even have mods that are ridiculously bias to DC to insane degree like Citzenbane. There is no point white knighting Thor on a board that actually believes that World breaker Hulk is the only way for Hulk to stand a chance against your typical DC heavy hitter. This same board believes that MM could solo the Justice League.

In this case they come to a point where they say that we don't know how fast he was do it doesn't count, they just ignore the hole fact that gladiator was bloodlusted and determinate to kill Thor whatever the cost, he was actually performing different strategies to beat Thor until he decided to use speed, so how the hell he wasn't going for at least 1/3(if you say full they just don't talk to you anymore) of his combat speed?????

But you're kind of agreeing with him in the Sentry thing as long as the battle is out of character. I was trying to argue that even out of character Sentry wouldn't blitz Thor that easy as long we consider Sentry's attempts to blitz Thor and Thor's milli and microsecond offensive and defensive feats. Actually I don't even know if Sentry has any microsecond feat.
The only people who seriously think speed is the be-all, end-all in hypothetical versus battles and that Thor doesn't have any speed feats or the means to deal with speed tend to be morons.
Not sure how many times Thor has to beat up beings with superhuman speed who actually use it in battle for people to get the idea that speedblitzing in of itself doesn't count as an auto-loss for Thor.
