Look at Ares consuling him. Priceless.

Guys, now that the DA#13 previews show that Sentry has Judeo-christian connections, i think that is bad news for Thor. Isn't Bendis a Jew?
i doubt it a bit. thor is marvel's superman in the sense of being a premier hero. i find it hard for marvel to allow thor to be thrown under the bus by a fellow "hero."
then again it is bendis so who knows? just have to wait.
It is very interesting though. I'm pleased about that.

^ So who's he looked bad to? No need for scans.TBH, I don't see one hammer swing equalling a win.
Sentry did look lower the first fight but then again if Sentry doesn't have his head right and if Sentry isn't in blood lust mode a lot of people can mess around with him and look good
If Sentry is not 100% all kinds of villains/heroes can make him cry.
The Sentry going at full throttle, I think very few people are able to stop him.
Thor kinda won their first meeting against a tame Sentry but on the same occasion the Sentry did knock the wind out of Thor. Landed enough damage so Thor got badly owned by the U-Foes
Sentry didn't really get owned, just removed and he came back and tore Ares like a bit of red cardboard
Second encounter Thor doesn't just try to BFR him. Thor faces a full powered Sentry/Void, the Sentry is very stable and blood lusted and Thor tries to destroy him with his greatest hits.
Track 1 fails, it just gives the Sentry a little jolt and Thor was just stunned to see the Sentry sakes off his greatest tune.
Track 2, a remix of track 1, this big blow seems to tear Sentry's body a little until a big red jellyfish demon pops out of the Sentry and is about to gobble up Thor. If Tony didn't turn up that instant to scare Goblin then Sentry probably would have finished the job on Thor. Marvel's former brick Thor IMO isn't a true brick anymore, don't get me wrong he's still extremly tough but compared to his old days I feel he lost his 'mojo'. Some writers like JMS were probably going to brick it back and make Thor the top brick in Marvel
but he's not a reliable brick anymore. He's not team wrecker who shakes off the U-Foes anymore.
You can say Bendis disassembled Thor but its not just one writer who took Thor down a peg or two. Marvel management want Thor nearer to the street and Thor's hammer no longer has that 'Umph' while the Sentry he grew exponentially
The Sentry he's very silverage-ish in power, if his mind is right he throws out a gazillion googolplex exploding sun type powers.
Sentry was the shark, he caught Thor like a fish and was about the reel him in.
Although Thor looked the loser, his showing was a lot more respectful than Ares who basically just got slaughtered.
How is Thor still standing?
The way I read the comic Norman the Goblin was freaking, just before Tony shuts down his armor and just before Cap or Spidey pile on to own Goblin, calls out to Bob to "Bring it down!"
So the Sentry/Bob/Void lets Thor off the hook
and Bob/Sentry/Void brings it down....Asgard gets nuked
With his home turned to rubble and on fire
Thor looks like he's just arrived at a funeral and about to shed some tears....he's still tough but he's not the same Thor, he's strong but just missing that adamantium backbone
Thor is powerful but his hammer lacks that "Pow" to defend his homeland.
There are few people who might stop a fully powered blood lusted Sentry but we know at this time it ain't Thor. The Thundergod doesn't have that 'wow' factor anymore. The Sentry became a real top tier heavy hitter and Sentry's power has reached absurd levels. Few people can face a bloodlusted Sentry,
maybe Morgaine le Fay
or maybe the XMAN Nate might do it but Thor is no longer the reliable brick anymore.
That whole Moses, Tentacle and Galactus thing is confusing though. I mean major details were told but for many of us we still don't know what exactly the Sentry is, its a sad reflection of modern story telling that after 5-6 years its still really difficult to define him and fit the Sentry into continuity.
Maybe the story should have began and ended with the arc Jenkins told and never been revamped by Bendis!?
Anyway Sentry is clearly the stronger
and maybe just maybe Marvel management wanted to deflate Thor a little and disassemble what JMS was doing to build up the people in Asgard
