Sentry oneshot loki who had all the norn stones with him, so killing the others who were empowered by them and far weaker than him should have been done in a second. It never feels like the void is actually trying to wipe them out, Loki is killed because it serves the plot (or maybe his own designs) which was ripe with PIS.before the helicarrier thing, nobody was doing any serious damage. Although he comments they were cheating, he just reformed arround their blows and stood arround, Thor just swings his hammer arround after loki dies, there is no clear evidence of real damage to him either.
It's the helicarrier that does the first serious damage and that was dumb, and of course the finishing blow was just a big lightning blast, not even a more exotic attack. Sentry and Void begged to die at one of the moments the line between them is blurred and the Sentry still had bones left as a corpse so it did less damage than the molecule man or morgan la fey.
He had to go because it served the plot, but it seems clear he allowed himself to go and will likely just stay dead as long as he wants to.
