Sentry vs Thor

There's also this.

It is specifically noted that "Bob" was trying to kill himself, but the damage he purposefully inflicted to himself was instantly repaired, because he didn't want it enough.

When Hulk beat his face in. That wouldn't have happened against the void. The damage wouldn't have been sustained.

Why?

Sentry didn't even know about his regenrating abilities during that instance. There are plenty of instances after that fight that proves Sentry can regenrate.

Thor one shot killed the Void. Thor one shot knocked out Thanos with Infinity Gauntlet. Thor wins, he's done some ridiculous shit.

I disagree.

Either way, I'm not sure why it matters..? The Void persona was part of Sentry's character. T'was something he always struggled with.

Can't see why really.

The Void persona also gave power to Sentry. The Sentry that lost to Blue Marvel for instance, wasn't void influenced and had it under control. He had his good days and hos bad days. After Norman got a hold of him, he mingled with the void much more.

Exactly. Because it's not one of Sentry's powers.

That just means he didn't want death enough to stop the void from resurecting him. He did want it bad enough in Siege 4.

Thor wins, yet Sentry destroys the likes of Superman or Orion?

What?

You do know the Void and Sentry are the same right? It just comes down to mind games as to who's in control at the time.

Wasn't that obvious?

On a more serious note, I was mocking faulty logic. Sentry is above Herald levels. Even before Siege. After all, one of the main points of Jenkin's original mini (As ridiculously fanboyish as it is) was that Sentry was pretty much greater then everyone at everything.

Surprised he didn't travel back in time and teach Thor what it meant to be worthy of Mjolnir or some ridiculous shit like that. Jenkins is so terrible sometimes.

Where did you get that from in those scans? During that instance, Sentry was in control.

Different personalities, different powers, different goals, same body. Sentry without the influence of the void, cannot perform certain abilities.

Up until he started to burn. The Void had already resurected him once that issue.

I think you are wrong. What can he not do as Bob that he can as the Void? Matter Manipulation? He brought Lindy back to life as Bob so that parts moot. I believe he reforms regardless of who's mentally in control anyways. Its as automatic as you and I taking a breath.

The Void never once said he was taking control in those scans. He just told Bob what was going to happen. That was all Bob.

You think what you'd like 👆

Shape shifting for one. Not to mention the massive power boost he gets. And regeneration of course.

It's not. When Bob wanted to stop the Void from reforming him, he did so. Up until then, he didn't have the willpower to do it.

You should look at those scans again if you think the Void wasn't in control. Final panel, first scan. Not to mention Bob was already going all weak willed and letting the Void influence him anyway.

No sure he's ever been in a situation where shapeshifting would have ever benefited him, but I dont doubt he could if he wanted to. The massive power boost is still within him to do so. Ask Genis and WWH, but I do agree he was still holding back. Heck, he even took down the Void himself, but again, thats all mindgames. I still dont agree about the regeneration. How did he bring Lindy back? Do you still think the Void intervened in that instance?

I can stop breathing too when I want. If I pass out, i'll start breathing again. If Bob passed out, I believe he would reform again just like he did when Lindy shot his face off.

Still no indication that the Void took over. He was just talking, but that was all Bob.

Sentry wins.

Thor wins

He definitely could, but because of the Void. It's the Void's power.

Well you can always disagree I guess but what part seems off to you?

No, I think Bob just brought her back to life. /shrug. It wasn't really touched on that I know of.

It's not quite the same thing. Since Bob can make it so he doesn't come back anymore. You'll breather whether you want to or not eventually. In Bob's case, he needs to truly want death to go through with it and prevent the Void from bringing him back.

That doesn't add up though. Here's Sentry, without the Void helping him:

then...

and...Void

Not only did the Void heal him, it gave him the power to withstand the star's heat.

Yeah, another moment that was never explained. Wonder how he did that?

Eh, I dont know. You might be right, but I truly feel that his body just took a moment to adjust and fixed itself. Its a hard argument because the Void and Bob are one and the same, just different mindsets. I wouldnt make too much out of where the thought bubbles are pointed, but who can really say for sure.

The bottom line is that I feel Bob has the same capabilities as the Void (why wouldnt he when he is the Void), but reels himself due to fear. No biggie. I dont think it can be proved either way. Just opinion I suppose.

Have a good one.
