As the wave moves around the galaxy to fight them the, Phalanx pick them off teleportation! Any soldiers who die can just be resurected with any physical matter. Any insect that gets consumed become phalanx themselves.
Annhilis and his heralds would be a problem but the Phalanx could save them for last.
