Hyperstorm is pretty much the equivalent of an adult Franklin Richards on steroids with the brains of Reed Richards. Thanos would be way way out of his league.

Not IMO. All he did was outsmart Doom and Reed and later get drained by Galactus and Galactus still considered him an insect. While Thanos has been respected by every being in existence even the Tribunal.

Hyperstorm stalemated Franklin Richards. That says something. Hyperstorm should be able to defeat Rachel Grey and then Dark phoenix as well

Franklin can defeat Galactus. So if Hyperstorm stalemated Franklin, then logically he should defeat Galactus.

And Richards was stated to be as powerful as a celestial when fully grown, Galactus is beyond that.

And I agree on Phoenix and Galactus being in the same league. The thing is Galactus posseses the Ultimate Nullifier and a ton of universe busters.

Educate me on the Ultimate Nullifier. Is that in his natural abilities? I prefer to use natural abilities here.

Yes, Franklin and Hyperstorm did stalemate, with Franklin admitting that if it went longer, he would have lost to Hyperstorm.

Not with the UN he isn't. He still goes down without taking a win out of 10 but still has enough power for LT to consider him a threat.
