And damn, it took the Ice Age movies till the 4th installment to show us the ocean. Avatar’s ahead of the game.

Hm.. it was a leak, so I suspect it might have been taken down. The page had a link to Twitter or Instagram or something and there were 4 images. One had Na'vi chillin on the ocean water, another was a shot of a big ocean creature and a Na'vi from below, a shot of some motion cap character, and the another that I don't remember very clearly..

Hmm... I wish. Terrifying would be cool. But the opportunity for that was with the Prometheus sequel and that failed miserably to accomplish anything terrifying or more importantly interesting. I don't expect anything too terrifying from sea creatures, but that would be cool. Some sort of shark-like things would be badass.

It honestly just looks like a remake of the first. I'm struggling to figure out how the story is going to differ.I guess it's just all about FAMILY... with Vin Diesel joining the cast.
The first one never did well because it had a particularly good or unique or interesting story. It was entirely because it had new 3d technology. But that had largely been abandoned by film makers nowadays. Same with the high frame rate movies like The Hobbit. Supposedly they've revamped the 3d tech for this so we'll see if it's as impactful and makes as much at the box office. I doubt it though.

It's going to be a lazy continuation, the evil corporation is back for that mineral and the blue skins got to fight for their way of life, planet and as you said, family.
This time they're going to war on flying fishes, bro. Flying fishes.

And there's only like 6 more sequels to go... 🙄

I got the impression that the reason it was taking so long was because he was working on getting 3D without glasses. Which would be awesome. But it seems everyone was still using glasses for the 3D trailer, right?

The trailer I seen wasn't 3d because the movie it was attached to wasn't 3d.
^ I heard that some 2D showings got the 3D trailer so it was all blurry, heh..
Yeah, the movie looks like trash story-wise. Probably will just be total rehash. But I confess that I tend to worship cinema as a primarily visual medium, and trippy faraway planets and creatures are cool, so I can't help but give it up to James C...
Will probably want to see this on the big screen.
