I have a shit-ton of digital stuff, too, that I've 'acquired'.

But for some things you just want uncompressed, top quality if possible.

finally watched,, as a rule i detest james cameron.. this is visually stunning... same plot as first film.. why the f$ck did that kid save stephen lang???? all in all i'd rate 6/10

I just re-watched on 4k UHD and it is actually better than the theater in my opinion. Both times seeing it in the theater I felt like it was too exhausting and grueling of an experience. On a smaller screen the action is more digestible and the colors really pop with excellent contrast with the HDR.

It's impressive as f#ck.

I also watched some of the making-of special features the other day and it's actually really interesting seeing how they developed and filmed a lot of it. The huge water tank and all the rigging they did with jets and stuff to shoot the underwater action. Really cool.
